Honestly, the best cruise I've ever taken

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Joy

I had to come review this cruise, because passengers on the first few trips had some negative things to say and I really think they just needed to work out the kinks since it's basically a brand new sailing. With that being said, I'm not super hard to please. I want a fun, relaxing time on a ship with cool ports, good food and drinks. We cruise a few times per year, typically on Carnival, RCI, ...

We flew into SEA the night before and stayed at a hotel near the airport. The next day we took a Lyft to the port which cost around $28 before tip. Embarkation: I sent our luggage to the porters and headed into the Terminal. We are Platinum so we were able to get priority check-in. After we received our key cards, we boarded the ship for lunch. We were disappointed that Savor wasn't open ...

Food was great in the specialty dining where you had to pay lots of extra money. Nothing is cheap on this cruise. Everything is extra even the free drinks in Drink Package as they add on a 20% gratuity to every drink. The Wifi sucks. Forget your Laptop. The entertainment ,was good. Stateroom was tight as we continually kept bumping the bed as we walked past it. the Stateroom was poorly ...

This was our second NCL cruise and the first one on Getaway was wonderful, so we decided to reap the few benefits of the Latitudes loyalty program. The Bliss is a beautiful ship, and laid out pretty much like the others in the Breakaway Plus class, so it was familiar to us. Our cabin was a standard mid-ship balcony and it was comfortable and roomy enough for two. We stayed on deck 15, down the ...

I love Norwegian. It’s the second cruise I’ve been on with them. We were Haven guests and felt like royalty the whole cruise. I really wanted to make all the service people family members. The Bliss is a beautiful ship top to bottom. So many things to do for all ages. We loved all the shows. Our shore excursions were so much fun and learned so much about Alaska. The food was excellent whether we ...

First cruise - might not sail with Norwegian again.

My wife and I have never been on a cruise before. We chose this cruise as it was an Alaskan cruise and we have always wanted to go. Embarkation was good - very organized and quick. Dis-embarkation was a nightmare. The wrong directions were given, it was confusing and we stood for over an hour and a half. Plus, disgruntled people were everywhere. The ship itself was very nice. Very ...

Amazing Alaska!

We had an excellent cruise on Norwegian Bliss. We were lucky enough to stay in a Haven Suite and were spoiled rotten. Most everything went smoothly from getting on the ship (ten minutes from the curb to the ship's elevators) to getting off in ports (Haven staff usually escorted us down in a crew elevator). The food was generally good and plentiful. The Haven restaurant is the best dining on ...

Almost everything about the cruise was perfect. Recommend getting room on deck 15 giving you access to the spa and easy access to the observatory. The only small disappointment was the food. We ate in the dining areas included in on the ship and while the food and service was good in all dining rooms all I can say is it was good. If you live in NYC or Houston area you will not be impressed. ...

My wife and I booked an Alaskan adventure with friends for a joint birthday/vow renewal. We specifically picked the NCL Bliss because the ship's observation lounge and waterfront experience was unique and seemed well suited for Alaska. Well, we were right. The Bliss was incredible and we enjoyed every minute of our vacation. To start, we received upgraded dining and the unlimited drink package ...

Great Ship/Great Experience

First trip to Alaska. We flew into Seattle 2 days early. We flew out of Nashville at 6:30am so, that put us in Seattle around 9:45am. Luckily our hotel stored our luggage until our room was ready. I highly recommend staying at the Residence Inn/Lake Union. This was a great hotel that wasn’t in the downtown craziness. Views of the lake were awesome! It was only a $10 Uber ride to the ship. The ...
