We have sailed with Norwegian 2 prior cruises and love it. So when our friends wanted to go on an Alaska Cruise, I immediatly recommened Norwegian based on past experiences. So not a good time. The overall service/staff were not helpful or plainly speaking rude. The food was sub-par for the most part, food was served cold, order was consistently wrong, and the selections were limited.
I ...
Everything was ok until we started using our cabin. First the bedsheets had stains on them!!!! Then the cabin ceiling and walls started cracking at nigh... plus we could hear weird sounds coming from the deck above us very late at night (we were on deck 15 and heaven staterooms were above us). I’m talking about 1 am to 3 am. Who can sleep like that???? Our steward and a carpenter came a couple of ...
First cruise. Enjoyable. Food was good. Would rate Le Bistro as best, Teppanyaki was the most fun. Ocean Blue was good, but Le Bistro and Cagney's were better for us. First night ate at Manhattan room - did not go back. Used Garden Café more than we planned - it was very good. Taste and Savor were also good. All restaurants were good.
Vibe club was probably not worth it for an Alaska cruise. ...
We were impressed with Norwegian's dedication to the environment. Towels were not washed and replaced unless we requested it. Only cloth napkins and real plates, cups, etc were used for the meals. We were equally impressed with their concern for cleanliness. Hand sanitizer was available as we entered all restaurants and squirted on our hands by lovely, cheerful employees whenever we entered a ...
Cruising is the perfect family vacation as it allows us to have both family time and for our teens to have more “freedom” for activities they enjoy.
The Bliss is a large ship, but it is designed to provide more private spaces. Here are some highlights:
EMBARKING/DISEMBARKING were very easy. We went to the dock earlier than our assigned time and were allowed to board. We disembark on our ...
Short vacation, out of Seattle for me and my wife. Impressive big ship comes with a price when you share it with over 4000 passengers. Crowded check in, main areas, theater shows, restaurants and elevators. You need reservation for almost everything if not you'll wait for long time on standby lanes. Lots of amenities and fun options if you don't mind being charged again for them. Surprised by ...
Hello everyone, I am writing this review specific to the amenities included and excluded from the Norwegian Cruise Line Concierge Suite Class based on our recent Alaska cruise experience with the line. I hope this is informative for anyone considering this class on NCL.
Included:
Priority Embarkment and Disembarkment.
Spacious comfortable room for two and balcony.
Free on demand in ...
The ship is very crowded. The sense of constantly having to think strategically and complete with others became stressful after a few days. For instance they have a small library but unlike other cruise ships we’ve been on, the books are locked up except for a few hours a day. This frustrated my kids terribly. They saw the books they wanted to read but couldn't get to them. When there is so much ...
I had wanted to do an Alaska cruise since my parents went (with NCL) 20 years ago. But I was getting very worried because of the rather large number of negative reviews. I don't know where the complaints have come from.
FIRST - we took the discounted airfare so NCL did the flight booking. Couldn't have been better. Perfect flights with perfect connections. Also, since we paid so little for ...
We have cruised to Alaska previously, but wanted to try out the new NCL Joy. As we live only an hour from Seattle, it is an easy drive to the pier. We arrived at the parking facility, walked across the street to check in our luggage, and were checked in and boarding in less than an hour. Great service and smiles by all the NCL staff.
We know not to follow the masses, and went to one of the ...
