This was the most AMAZING vacation ever!!! The ship was remarkable, I was so amazed at how smooth everything ran and the staff was fabulous!!! The Dining choices were all really good, We ate at all the complementary dinning and they were all super good with lots of choices. The Ports and Excursions were all so much fun, I think one of my favorite days is when we cruised through Glacier Bay, it ...

We chose Norwegian Cruise Line Bliss when looking for an Alaskan cruise. Previous experience with NCL was excellent. Price was good. The ship was gorgeous. Lots to do. We especially enjoyed the show's. But by far the greatest shows on an Alaskan cruise are provided by the sea & lands of Alaska and British Columbia. The mountains, bays, fjords, glaciers and whales were just ...

Alaska with a good Observation Lounge

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Joy

Picked the Joy because I hadn't been on her and knew that the Observation Lounge (from my experience on the Bliss) would be a great place to view the Glaciers. The weather on the cruise wasn't great--too foggy to do much glacier cruising or viewing. Employees were very friendly on the cruise, the Joy is in excellent condition being a new ship. The biggest disappointment was that there are no ...

We have never cruised in the past so we did not know what to expect or to compare. I don't know what everyone was complaining about. Nothing is perfect but the staff tried to do what ever they could to make it perfect for you. I made reservations before we left for all the specialty dining and shows so were did not have any issues with reservations. They tell you well in advance to make these ...

Let me start by saying if I could give a higher rating for the Joy, i would! We are seasoned cruisers with 40+ cruises....Platinum on CCL and RCCL and sailed Princess and Celebrity, so this was our first NCL cruise and we were SO impressed with this ship and it's crew. This is by far the best experience we have ever had. First of all, the ship is beautiful and so clean and spacious. You don't ...

Fabulous first time cruise to Alaska

It was our first time on a cruise and decided to go to Alaska. My husband wasn't keen on taking a cruise and ended up pleasantly surprised that he wasn't bored or got cabin fever. We couldn't go into Endicott Arm and see the glaciers because Mother Nature wouldn't cooperate. Too foggy to safely go in there and out. I respect the Captain's decision on that one. Our highlight was seeing the ...

Crowded and Rude and Nickled and Dimed

Went with a group of friends. My wife and I had done the same cruise on NCL 8 years ago on a smaller ship. Totally different experience. The staff at a lot of the food and bar venues were rude. A lot of the people on this ship were rude and disrespectful. How about getting on an elevator with food piled high on numerous plates, dropping it, and covering it with napkins. The elevator wait time was ...

Always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise. The experience with Norwegians cruise line was extravagant the were great! Definitely would book again through Norwegian. The help on board were fantastic, anytime we needed something someone was right there to answer our questions and fulfill our needs. Disembarking the ship for excursions was a little hectic with everyone trying to get off the ship, ...

Great ship, but had issues related to food and medical center...

The ship is great, balcony cabin was excellent and had lot of fun time. For majority scenario where a person who doesn't have dietary restrictions and didn't have to go to medical center, I would have given 4.5 stars. My only gripe is related to uncleanliness in Medical center and inconsistent responses from the staff in Garden cafe' that affected our dietery needs (making us feeling guilty and ...

So disappointed with Norwegian Cruise Line

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

We took our entire family on a cruise to Alaska to celebrate my husbands retirement. We chose the Bliss as we have 8 Grandchildren ranging in age from 6-13. This was my husbands and my 4th Norwegian cruise, so imagine our surprise and disappointment at all the problems we had. We found the website a mess. If you schedule dinner and then an excursion, and there is a conflict, you are in trouble. ...
