We had never done a cruise to Alaska before and this one seemed to fit the bill for our needs. As we had been to Seattle before, we elected to arrive and sail in the same day. I picked the Norwegian Bliss, because it was a new ship and NCL was recommended to me. The embarkation in Seattle went smoothly (we were on board by 11.30am), we were given access to our cabin by 12.30pm and all our prebooked excursions vouchers and the on board credit, was waiting for us in the cabin or on our account.

We had a wonderful time on our Alaska cruise on the Bliss from Seattle. First, I would like to praise the captain who made a couple of difficult decisions regarding when to leave a port and to skip a port. We chose this cruise because an "expert" told us this was the best way to see Alaska. We disagree completely after this experience.
