Ok but not as good for me as other Norwegian ships

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

sailed on 1/14/2024 out of port canaveral. This was my first cruise by myself. My friends normally make the cruise plans and tell me what to book. I just booked one of the cheapest cruises within my time frame and went this year alone. As many reviews have noted, it was at capacity. This was the longest lines I have waited in on any cruise before to get drinks at a bar. You expect it to get ...

Dissapointing Cruise

We chose this cruise because we were able to make it work for all six of us in our group. The entertainment offerings were sorely lacking. The only show that we enjoyed was The Choir of Man, and that show was only available a couple evenings. We ate in the dining room “Savor” three times, at “Teppanyaki” once, “Moderno” twice and “The supper Club” once. The food was good everywhere except at ...

Big crazy happy family

My family and I have always loved cruising with NCL. We have referred them to multiple people and always chose them over the others. However this sailing will be our last . It's our first cruise since COVID-19, and what a disappointment! Food has gone downhill; good steak or lobster? That's extra now! Wife made reservations months ago for the Savor since we are traveling as a small group of 13, ...

Worst cruise I have ever been on

Norwegian has always been a must on my cruising lists for how nice they are. I figured this would be perfect for me and my husband since it was his first time ever going on a cruise and took years to convince. The crew itself were great! Ran thin but always so happy and nice. The ship was very outdated over booked and upgraded balcony room beds were just two cots pushed together. Sanitation was ...

Worst cruise

Because i used to love ncl. After this cruise not so much. I am almost saphire and probably won’t make it to it. The food was awful. Pasta e fagioli was clear broth with flour in it. French onion ,onion and broth with a crouton and a spoon of cheese. Cagneys surf and turf, lobster burnt from broiler and filet was tough as leather. Still charged me for it. Room made up 3 times in whole ...

If you like to wait in lines this cruise is for you!

My son purchased this cruise and i was excited to get away for a week and relax…wrong!! After waiting in line to get through the drop off, security and finally boarding the boat, we waited 10 minutes for a packed elevator. Upon entering our small tiny cabin i noticed how dated it was, the two small 30 year old twin sunken in mattresses, the toilet was in a shower stall and would not flush for a ...

If you like sitting in your cabin, the norwegian epic is the ship for you. There were so many people on the ship, we waited 20-30 for a drink at every bar, for anything other than the buffet there was an hour and a half wait from the moment they opened, we couldn’t get a seat on the pool deck, and couldn’t get into any shows (even showing up 45 minutes early). On sea days, it was almost impossible ...

Outstanding experience on all levels

This ship surpassed all of our expectations. Ports were awesome, St. Thomas was beautiful and so was Great Stirrup Cay. DR port had a great pool and lazy river. Not too many food options that were not American faves at ports, so we just ate back on the ship! Tortola was nice for shopping, did not do excursion or beach there. Pool could be bigger. The Food and service was the best we have ...

Cruising is back – easily one of my best and most enjoyable cruises!

This was cruise #9 for me, #6 with Norwegian and my first time on the Escape. This was a full-occupancy+ cruise, with ~4800 passengers and 1600 crew. The Breakaway class is really the perfect balance of everything you need in cruising and the ship’s public spaces are big enough that you never feel crowded. Check-in at the port was a breeze. I basically did not stop moving, with staff helpfully ...

Interior room experience

Guests: Two females aged 57, 61. We chose this cruise because of the ports and to just relax in sun and read. It was our first time in an interior room. Embarkation was a breeze even tho it was raining. We had a hard time at first finding our way around but staff was very helpful. We arrived at port at 11.30, got in our room by 1.00 and had our luggage by 4.00. Note: apparently there were 3 bags ...
