Great Vacation for the Family

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We read the previous reviews for the ship and were frightened about going on this trip. But we figured we would just roll with it and try to enjoy our hard earned vacation. In the end, we left the ship satisfied and hoping to return to cruise with Norwegian again. This is our 3rd cruise as a family with NCL. We've been on Escape and Breakaway, and we have usually booked a balcony cabin. This ...

The Food Hall is the best part of this ship!

We decided on this cruise because we wanted to try the Prima. According to the reviews, you either love it or hate it. I loved it. The Indulge Food Hall was amazing. The food was different (and authentic, well-seasoned and varied). The service was great, and it was fast. That was one of the best parts of the ship. The small pools on either side of the ship, together with the lounge chairs, ...

Great week with some frustrations

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Spouse and I (mid 50s) have sailed 10+/- times, mostly on NCL's smaller ships. We had a great week with some frustrations. At embark we went to the theater to reserve seats for several shows which were already sold out. The theater on the ship is too small for the passenger load, and this is a real issue. TIP: the NCL app allows you to get into a virtual queue 2 hours before the show, and ...

A New Way of Cruising

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We sailed the Prima out of Port Canaveral....excited that it was a new ship and that Norwegian touted it as their newest ship and that it was "A new way of cruising". Norwegian was exactly right..... it was a new way of cruising. We've cruised with Royal Carribean, Carnival, MSC and Norwegian in the past. We had taken 10 cruises up to that time, and this was one of the worst experiences that we've ...

My wife and I are both experienced cruisers and have taken more trips on Norwegian than all of the other lines combined. They have been a very good and enjoyable line at a reasonable price. We particularly enjoy the Free Style cruise atmosphere that they practically invented. But this cruise was not one of our better experiences. The check in experience was fast, efficient, and fun - right ...

NCL removed all the tacky from cruising!

We loved this ship! It’s beautiful, the small spaces are awesome, the food was delicious (loved the local, indulge, Hudson’s, Le bistro), the kids club was loved by my 11 yo. NCL took all the tacky out of cruising (don’t worry the tacky art and casino are still there but the casino is OUT OF THE WAY!!!!!). It’s more like a fancy yacht. The loud pool still has your silly competitions and loud ...

Ship is overrated

Honestly I did not like this ship at all. The other three people on the cruise with us also hated it. We all agreed the other boats in the fleet are much better and the layout is more desirable. Pro's: -The rooms are very big compared to other ships. Bathroom is the same size. The added couch is a nice touch. -The ship itself does have some new decor and details. -Price is right ...

Our First and Probably Last NCL Cruise

Embarkation, long line to clear security, after that check in was quick and efficient. Once onboard, long lines and crowds everywhere. Tried to have lunch at the Surfside Grill but we were turned away because it was completely full. Finally able to get the app connected so we could book entertainment reservations. Donna Summer, Noise Boys and the Price is Right were all SOLD OUT! This was ...

Wonderful Cruise

My wife and I loved our time on Prima enough that were doing another 14 day sailing on her later in the year. The room was nicely laid out and spacious and the food was fantastic. We loved Indulge Food hall and tried 4 of the specialty restaurants (Food Republic, Palomar, Onda and Le Bistro). I knew my way around by the first day after embarkation and is no more confusing than any big hotel. The ...
