Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

This was a "repositioning" cruise - Started in Vancouver, B.C., with stops in Astoria, Oregon, San Francisco, and ending in Los Angeles. My husband & I were looking forward to the "freestyle" cruising - we're not into getting dressed up for dinner while we're on vacation. We've previously cruised on Holland America & Royal Caribbean. So "freestyle" means that you don't have to dress up for ...

I was on a 1-night cruise on the Pearl Sept 20th. I went with my mom and sister and two of my mom's friends. I stayed the night in Seattle at my sister's house. It was my other's sister's birthday, so we went out to dinner the night before, and make a fun weekend with the cruise. We went down to Pier 66 the next morning about 10:30. We had to park our car across the street at the Bell St. ...

Incredible Weekend on the Pearl

This weekend cruise was incredible. I did a series of short and cheap cruises in April/May 2009 as a way to escape the realities of my mom having passed on February 9 from numerous cancers that went undetected in her body until a couple weeks before it took her to be reunited with my dad. That said, and the fact I overall enjoyed but had a few choice things to say about my Norwegian Star ...

We cruised for 2 nights from Vancouver - Seattle this past weekend.Overall it was a fun time, but I didn't fall in love with NCL. I have previously been on a 4 night Carnival Cruise (not a great cruise for a mom/daughter and didn't know at the time) and a 7 day Disney Cruise (best vacation of our lives!).I wanted to post a review of a weekend cruise, as I found it difficult to find info before we ...

This was our first NCL cruise- We had been on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival previously. Embarkation: This was by far the fastest we have ever gotten on board. I don't know if it was 15 minute and we arrived at about 12:30. The glass of champagne was very nice and we were very pleased. The Ship: The ship is beautiful, Large and modern, and fairly easy to navigate. I found all the ...

This is our 10th cruise, 6th on Norwegian. This was just a quick, cheap weekend away. We drove down  because we had to get to the Port of Seattle before 8am as the buses (arranged through travel agent) were leaving between 7 and 8am.  We made it in plenty of time. We parked the car across the street where we could just pick it up after the cruise. Need a better option-parking in Seattle adds up ...

My husband and I were trying to decide what to do for our ten year anniversary, when I found a weekend cruise on the Pearl. This was perfect. We would only be away four days with travel. We were leaving our fourteen month daughter home with grandma and this was our first time leaving her home. We have cruise previously on the Disney Wonder and Carnival Fascination as well as the Norwegian Star to ...

I took my 21-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter on Norwegian Pearl's weekend cruise to nowhere from Seattle. We were in a Courtyard Villa. EMBARKATION For embarkation we theoretically had VIP status, but it took three people to discover that we were meant to be in the VIP lounge after we had already checked in at the main desk area. Norwegian needs to upgrade their signage and provide more ...

Two words ..... Just Wonderful. Embarkation was a breeze, always love sailing out of Miami, it's so convenient with the parking right across the street. Latitudes members get priority embarkation and get sailed right through. Dining ... although we were only there for one lunch, one dinner and one breakfast, each was excellent. We loved the set up of the serving stations, having delicious ...

Norwegian Pearl~ Simply Irresistible? The new Norwegian Pearl was hyped from the moment we got on with a corporate catch phrase of simply irresistible. They should have made that Totally Irresistible because this racks up a huge win. Personally, I have not been all that big of a fan of Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) in the past. This 2-day preview cruise the new 99-ton Pearl, changed all that. ...
