My husband and I was celebrating our 13th year wedding anniversary. Hoping to enjoy, only to find out that Norwegian Breakaway was far the worst cruise Ship that we have sail on. The Entertainment was horrible. Poor food selection; we had to ask for food and had to wait over 45 minutes to get the food. Poor customer service and management skills in guest services. Only to say that the excursions ...
The staff was awesome.. housekeeper Raymund, Bartender at shakers Ramona and Cigar lounge Bartender Paul.. were all so great. photographer Nigel ..the only disappointing part was the disembarking of 7 hrs was very frustrating. I carried my luggage off but others were just thrown on the dock and they had to search for their luggage which held up our leaving time with the bus.. Food was ok just ...
I would not recommend this cruise out of New York on the Breakaway. A lack of communication, a highly over worked crew, a pitiful number of staff for a vessel with 4000 passengers and over crowding are only a few of the problems we encountered.
After 12 previous cruises on Celebrity, Royal, and Princess, I can say that this was the worst by far.
The specialty restaurants are exceptional in ...
Chosen because out of NYC where I live, ship I have sailed on before and wanted to go to St Kitts, St Maarten and Tortola. Never did a longer than 7 day cruise before. Stayed in Haven. First 10 days were great other than one of the Haven’s spa technicians not showing up for my scheduled appointment and the spa manager sending a hairdresser to apologize. The Haven Restaurant is the best onboard. ...
This was our 3 rd time cruising with norwegein and it was a nightmare from start to finish . embarkation .... We had time slot of 11.30 am but when we arrived at Manhattan cruise terminal it was a shambles as the breakaway was returning from Europe customs had to check the whole ship thus holding up embarkation and restocking of ship with the knock on effect of not sailing away till after 6pm ...
Breakaway Sept 23 2018. We were told foul weather prevented the ship from leaving port in Copenhagen where we stayed for two days, There was no report of bad weather until we reached Estonia. We stayed an additional two days in Estonia due, again, to bad weather.. Additional port stops in Norway and Sweden were cancelled before we reached St. Petersburg. One day delay resulted in the cancellation ...
4th time on the ship, entertainment as a whole has not changed in 4 years, food at all levels has less good tasting choices (more pork and turkey and less meats), shortage of crew and many hard to understand (nice though). Specialty restaurants had much cheaper cuts of meat. I wanted the porterhouse they show on their promotion video's. At the buffet, I ate mostly hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza ...
As regular Cruisers who normally choose RC, we wanted to try another Line as our Dughter recommended Norwegian and the Itinary suited us.
We travelled with relatives who were first-time Cruisers.
As has been reported in other Reviews on here we were held up for 4 hours on Embarkation at NY and 5.5 hours on Disembarkation. As we are mid-60's and one of us 83 we didn't appreciate the delay as ...
The customer service was very poor from day one. The mattresses in my balcony stateroom were in desperate need of replacement. The wifi package did not work well and no one wanted to take ownership. I would stand in long lines to then be told come back tomorrow. They billed me for things I didn't use and would send me in circles to get it resolved.
After the first two days of this 11 day ...
I chose this cruise to go with friends and found it to be a big mistake. The ship is to large for me but that was not the problem. The food was good and the ship was clean and that was not the problem. The upper decks and facilities were closed for the entire trip so staff should not have been a problem.
The problem is that overall service just leaves out the little things that make you ...
