Smokey, Crowded Casino Booze Cruise - Norwegian Escape NYC to Bahamas

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Escape

Let me start by saying I love to travel, especially to Caribbean islands. I particularly love vacations filled with nature, adventure and exploring new places. I've traveled quite a bit over the years, so I know that a big part of traveling is keeping things in stride and going with the flow. With this cruise vacation, however, my patience was tested even before getting on the ship. First the ...

We have been talking about taking a cruise, so we finally did, Our "Honeymoon" finally after 12 and a half years LOL!!! Its was a smooth embarkation process getting into the ship at the NYC Pier, we got lunch at the Garden cafe when we got in since our room was not ready until 130 pm, pretty nice size and comfort in our stateroom, we took a nap and got ready for the night entertainment. We did ...

This cruise experience was absolutely amazing. We had a very good time. The food was tremendous at every single complimentary restaurant. The buffet had so many different options. The shows offered were also very entertaining and well put together. The crew on board was so outgoing and fun. They all made this first time experience far better. Shout out to the washy-washy guy. I didn’t meet a ...

Excellent holiday cruise

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Gem

This is my 12th cruise on the Gem, twice a year annually since 2012. I love the size of the ship, the food in both the main dining rooms and specialties was great, the lounge entertainment was exceptional, my room was always clean and ready when I needed it. This cruise is ideal for adults, or adults travelling with older teens or young adults. My main purpose to cruising is relaxation, which ...

Too many little things add up to a good, but not great, cruise

When my sister and mother suggested a holiday cruise I said fine, as long as it leaves from New York because I didn't want to chance flying at that time of year when weather can be unpredictable, and I was right as there was a terrible rain storm the night before. My sister kept telling me I would love NCL as her previous experience on a cruise to Europe was fantastic. For the previous cruise she ...

We had a wonderful cruise over Winter Break. I was cruising with my husband and 2 children (11 and 9) and whereas we have cruised a number of times together before, we have never cruised on Norwegian or the Gem previously. Overall, we had a terrific time and would definitely recommend the ship and itinerary. Embarkation: We were dropped off at the terminal at around 1PM. We easily got rid of ...

Leaving out of New York is super easy. You just need to learn to navigate the streets and plan your trip. The embarkation process was fine. The young lady had an attitude and was slow in checking us in but we were able to board right away. Welcome aboard was nice when we first entered the ship. Overall crew and staff were nice. This ship is bare bones though, entertainment was just ok, the ...

Christmas and New Years on the Norwegian Gem

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Gem

I booked this cruise because of the itinerary (Christmas AND New Years on the ship). There were no issues with embarkation and disembarkation. Both were fast and convenient. The Gem is a beautiful ship with a lot of things going on during sea days and in the evenings. Because of the Christmas holidays, there were a lot of kids and teenagers on board. There is a bridge viewing room on ...

Family and friend cruise for Christmas. We have done a family cruise for Christmas the last four years. This was our friends first cruise. Entertainment and activities could have been better. There were times events were scheduled and then never happened. Of course we always make the best out of the situations. Service was top notch as always. Loved our Washy Washy lady at the ...

Better than before but.....

Holiday cruise with family. This was our second time sailing on the Gem for Christmas. The first was back in 2010 for a 7 day cruise. Ship has been refurbished (2015) but still shows outward signs of being an older boat. I must admit that the food quality was better now than previously. Norwegian is no Royal Caribbean however. Lobster was nowhere on the menu for any of the restaurants or ...
