For the amount of money we paid for this cruise I expected a higher level of service from the staff and more attention to detail. The private Haven area left a whole lot to be desired. The private pool area is a joke, the pool was the size of a plunge pool two people in it would have been too many

It started out rocky when we had zero idea where to deposit our bags- so we were one of the few dragging our bags through the entire check in process. The Breakaway was amazing but with two caveats. The entertainment was beyond fantastic. Rock of Ages Musical was fantastic and Tenors of Rock was like going to a rock concert. Really enjoyed. We sailed on the Norwegian Breakaway departing from New Orleans on 2/17/19. The ship itself is very nice and well kept.
I am a travel agent and compared to the Carnival and Disney cruises I've been on, Norwegian has some catching up to do. It will be hard for me to recommend Norwegian to my travel prospects based on my experience.

This was our second inter-generational family trip on Norwegian, and it was a great one for almost everyone in the family. We were originally a little worried that there were too many sea days, but it turned out that we enjoyed these are even more than the port days, because of the opportunity to relax. We had a fantastic time on the Breakaway. Overall our Mid-Ship Balcony Mini-suite on deck 11 was perfect, food was great, and we loved the Entertainment.

We were in cabin 9920 which was great, our cabin steward was the most attentive and meticulous we have had in 24 cruises. But the whole experience lacked class, when the beverage package did not even include water. Harvest Caye is a rip off. Beverage package did not apply. This is our 3rd cruise with Norwegian. We were traveling with my husband's parents as our retirement gift to them. We chose this cruise because it left from New Orleans, which is within driving distance to us.
