Chose this cruise to go with grand kids on spring break. Not a fan of the larger ships. The pool area was extremely crowded and we could not spend time in any pool with the teenage grands - they had to use the kid's pool. This was my 8th trip on this ship alone. Now, I love the Breakaway and it will always hold a special place in my heart. However, had this been my first trip, I would have been greatly disappointed by a lot of the service I received and things I saw around the ship.

Went with a group fro HS spring break. Had a great time. Got our money's worth from drink package, lot of top shelf.booze was we figured out how to order. Tipped bar tender first night and he took care of us.

Decided to go to the Western Carribbean (Cozumel, Costa Maya and Belize). We left from New Orleans. The excursions were fun and a way to get a feel of the areas. This was our 5th cruise with NCL. Overall I think Norwegian did a good job. This was also our first experience in a Haven suite. While we were in the Haven complex, we had an aft penthouse balcony. I think in all the cruises we've ever done, this was the first one I noticed we were spending more time in our room. The balcony was just fantastic.

Went on the Breakaway out of New Orleans last year and it was not a great trip. Food was not great, staff not friendly. This year it was a different ship. Food was AWESOME, staff was way more friendly and the ship was a lot cleaner. But that may be from recently failing a health inspection and waiting on new inspection. NOLA was a blast as always, got there the day before. We parked at Fulton Garage without incident, no shuttle wait at all. Breakaway embarkation at noon was fast, painless. Traffic there is a nightmare with the construction. I have no idea if parking at the pier was any easier.
