This cruise was my 5th Norwegian cruise and I must say I was very disappointed.
The ship appeared to be a training ship. I understand new staff must be trained but it was there was clearly a huge amount of crew who were unable to assist us when we needed help. Boarding and disembarkation were both very smooth. Friendly crew members. We're a couple in our late 60's so didn't use the water slides or ropes course. We chose this ship purely by chance and it ended up being the best decision. Getaway is absolutely beautiful, not perfect, but very close.

This cruise is completely outdated and terrible. Our room smelled terrible and when we asked for it to be cleaned no one helped us. The top deck where the pool is smells like pee all over the wooden floor and they do not ID. The physical condition of the ship is excellent; certainly does not look like a 19 year old vessel. Maintenance and cleaning staff are working constantly to keep her in superb condition. The one place that does need a lot of attention is the family pool/hot tub areas on 12 forward. There was a lot of mold and the area was dirty.
