We traveled on the Norwegian Jade on a trans-Atlantic cruise last year and found it to be a very enjoyable experience so we signed up for this 8-day Caribbean cruise because it was the same ship and we even reserved the same cabin. The crew is great and service was superb. We are not big eaters so I can't comment on the dining but from what I heard from other passengers, it was quite good. We ...
In the beginning....emergency drill procedures: all passengers were crammed like sardines outside in the 93 degree sunshine and made to wait 25 minutes extra for late arrivals before starting. Several of us couldn’t make it through that heat with no water and had to stand inside to cool down, several older folks almost passed ou, 1 didt.
The food was horrible. The staff were all brand new, ...
We are an active couple in our mid 40’s and this was our first cruise (and I’m pretty sure it will be the last one), which turned out to be a quite disappointing experience for us.
THE PRICE: We were unpleasantly surprised by the additional “service fee” (added more than $200 to our cruise price) which NCL hit us with, when we got onboard. We found out about that fee on the last day at sea – ...
The cabin was nice. It was what you expect of an internal room, my kids thought it was cool that the beds dropped down from the ceiling when sleeping more than 2 people in the cabin. They loved sleeping in the little bunk. For us, the low overhead space and ladder in the small space was a bit annoying. But luckily we don’t spend very much time in the cabins.
My low score for the onboard ...
First cruise ever - very exited and expectations were met.
Although additional expenses climbed onboard (add-on prices for speciality restaurants, some bars, some wines and games) the trips was very nice and the staff very friendly and service minded (from cabin staff to director). One of the directors even spotted my partners limp from a twist of the foot and within 10 min, an ice-bag was ...
Hi there. We've just completed our third trip[ on the Norwegian Getaway. Needless to say, we've gone back because it was a really good experience. For the second time, we induced others to join us on this cruise.
Guess what... We were REALLY wrong!
Something has happened to management. This was unpleasant to say the least. The balcony cabin was nice... and we had a decent cabin ...
This was a family cruise of 5 people including 2 grandkids, 3 and 7 years old. We chose this itinerary because of the number of sea days and specifically the ports of St. Thomas and Tortola. Would've rather gone to the private island as the 3rd port, but alas Nassau is what it is. Overall it was a good cruise, boarding was without issue, had a nice lunch in one of the MDRs seated by a big ...
We choose Norwegian because some family had sailed them previously, we were looking for a boat that was elegant, but did not have the party feel, we wanted a completely relaxing trip with as little stress as possible for our first at sea experience. We choose the Haven 2 Bedroom Villa for our room, with 1 other couple. We did not explore Miami prior, but stayed at the Crowne Plaza Miami airport ...
We were recommended NCL by a friend who had previously sailed with them and said they were worth a try and boy was she correct. We have only ever done one other cruise before and that was with Disney which we all loved so there was a lot to live up to.
Embarkation on to the ship was really straight forward and easy.We arrived at the port at around 11:20 and were on the ship no longer than an ...
The ship, it's crew, the restaurants, bars, and the shows were fantastic! Everyone was extremely friendly, and happy to help out whenever we had a question or request. We will be taking our next cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line. St Thomas and Tortola were beautiful, and great places to visit. We had our 15 and 17 year old boys with us and they loved the cruise. We felt safe letting them have ...
