New ship. Restaurants were fantastic, however the staff was overwhelmed and overworked The ship is very large 4000 passengers. All areas are too small to accommodate this Large population. The cabin was small but the shower was large & great. The Entertainment was adequate one show Jersey Boys great, also the comedy shows Were good. It seems like there was always something going ...

My husband is disabled. Stroke at 56 years. He was 1 year post stroke. We were on the bliss with stateroom in the haven. Everything and I mean everything was awesome. The butler, steward—amazing room awesome, the restaurant had amazing food. The luxury and privacy amazing....they were always helping hold doors for us etc. we rented a w/c and shower chair and the service for that was excellent. ...

Overall, I had a great trip on the Bliss. This a very clean ship with attentive staff. Bring comfortable shoes becasuse you’ll be doing lots of walking. Take note that “solo cruiser” is not the same as being “single and ready to mingle”. However, they did a nice job of making sure solo cruisers had company for dinner and shows. Pros: Beautiful ship, excellent staff, very clean, great fitness ...

To go thru the Panama Canal was the main reason but other ports we had never been to either. Started in Miami which we did a hop on hop off bus , great way to see the highlights of Miami , sailed for 2 days , we had sunny warm weather, pool area was nice but music most times too loud Games by the pool were fun to watch and sometimes even went into. First port Cartegena Columbia , took ...

Boat Layout Poor

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Star

Just finished a Panama Canal cruise on the "newly refurbished" NCL Star. While not a major cruiser (15 cruises total) I unfortunately have to rate the Star's layout as Poor. While not important to some, I feel cruise ships should have a bar or siting area that is enclosed and shows a view of the ocean or pool area. The Star has neither. It does have an open area on deck 14 that views the pool but ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Everything was great! This was actually the second time this year on the Sky. I believe my room attendant took my lottery ticket but overall it was a great experience again. The unlimited drinks is the highlight of this ship! The food is also amazing! It’s best to purchase everything the first night because prices are lower. My favorite drink is the Mango Meltdown! Deal or no deal is awesome. I’ve ...

Entertainment excellent, meals poor

We looked forward to this cruise for over a year. Last time we cruised with NCL meals were awesome, entertainment top notch, service was excellent and staff very friendly. We purchased extras on this cruise, unlimited beverage package, tour package and paid gratuities. During this cruise it was very hard to have someone to take a drink order while around the pool, you had to go to bar and order ...

Not impressed with NCL

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Star

I do not believe I will ever travel on NCL again. The staff was fair to say the least, of course there were some that were excellent but they were very few. Most were not very personable. The dinning and food was terrible unless you were in the specialty dinning areas (which you have to pay more for). The anytime dinning was not convenient, if you did not pre-book your time before your cruise you ...

NCL was disappointing

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Star

We chose this cruise to go through the Panama Canal. We found the ship and cabin to be ok but food was mediocre...entertainment was a big disappointment. There was only one day when they talked about the canal versus Princess who had movies and documentaries along with a historian on for most of the cruise. The ports were ok but we just felt like there could have been much more to make ...
