Another Blissful Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Booked this sailing a full year in advance while sailing on the Escape and got a great deal. We paid $1079 per person base fare for our BA balcony. By the time final payment was due, BAs were selling for $1929 per person! We have sailed twice on the Escape, so it was hard not to draw comparisons between the two ships. Despite being similar ships, it actually turned out to be very disorienting ...

We chose this ship because it is brand new and would have all the latest amenities. It exceeded our expectations. The buffet was excellent morning, noon, and night and the meals changed daily. The observation lounge and Walkway on 8 are lovely, very comfortable and had plenty of room. We had the perfect amount of time at sea (3 days) and in port (3 days). The Broadway shows are very good ...

Timing and price both worked for me. I travel solo, so NCL is my go to cruise line because they have some great options for the single traveller. I usually book a studio cabin, but this trip, because of the multiple "at sea" days, I chose a stateroom with a balcony. This was soon upgraded to a mini-suite, unsolicited by me. Beautiful big cabin with a full size shower(sliding glass doors and six ...

Chose this cruise to sail on the Bliss plus good time of year weather wise for Eastern Caribbean. We flew into Miami the day prior to sailing which is highly recommend in case of flight or airport delays. Ubered to port. When we arrived we were met by an attendant who checked our luggage and were directed inside where we were checked in and issued our room keys. Norwegian is very efficient in ...

We had a good time, but not spectacular like I have had on other cruises. The positives: Great food, service was good, especially Jennylyn at the Atrium bar, and Alexandria at the Taste restaurant. Cagney's was good, but Teppanyaki was outstanding. Havana and Jersey Boys were both good. We met some great people. The downside: Not much to do on sea days. Went to the pool and every ...

Has “Freestyle” cruising led to de-personalization of service on NCL?

I learned something valuable on this cruise: how to remove gratuities from your account. We arrived at the port and had an easy check in experience. This was around 11 AM and there were no lines and we walked right onto the ship. They did not take our pictures but instead use the pictures from our passports. This was a first. The first thing we did was check out the Go Carts and Laser Tag ...

We sailed on the NCL Bliss on Feb 2, 2019, Mini Suite Cabin #15770. Both the wife and I are experienced cruisers, this was my 17th cruise. Embarkation was the best I have ever experienced, very quick, 15 min from arrival at the pier at 11:15 until we were on board. Cabins were ready about 1:30. Our cabin was nice, but not as large as other Mini Suites on NCL or on Princess. A strong word of ...

Worst customer service

This was our first Norwegian cruise. So many complaints! 1. Terrible customer service: upon boarding we discovered no drink or specialty dining packages were associated with our reservation, even though we had paid for them. We had booked through a travel agent (USAA Travel Services) and the ship customer service desk refused to help us because we had not booked directly through NCL. Very ...

After reading reviews here, I was leery about this trip. It was my fifth cruise, first on Norwegian, with an itinerary I was really excited about. I’m happy to report that I had a great time cruising to Cuba on the Norwegian Sky. Embarking in Miami was a breeze and we were on the ship by 1 pm enjoying lunch in the dining room. We enjoyed complimentary drinks and explored the small comfortable, ...
