The Joy is, unquestionably, a beautiful ship. That being stated, there are several deficiencies as to the ability to handle 3800+ guests. The theater is not able to handle the crowds and unless you got there at least 30 minutes prior to a show, odds are that you wouldn't get a seat. This was our 8th NCL cruise but our first on a large ship. My wife and I were a bit concerned about the size, but were pleasantly surprised to discover that large doesn't necessarily mean crowded and congested. This ship was very clean and well maintained. The electronic door openers may have seemed like a good idea but when you are trying to keep germs at a minimum, having everyone touch the openers to open doors is not a good idea.
