More than just a gorgeous looking ship

This cruise trip was arranged more than 1 year ago. We had never been to Mexico and we wanted to give it a try on the newest NCL ship, Norwegian Bliss. The gorgeous looking Norwegian Bliss was beyond my imagination. We had a wonderful holiday and had fun exploring the 3 cities which Bliss had brought us to. We also enjoyed dancing at different venues in the evenings. With the specialty dining ...

The Norwegian Bliss is one of the lines most recent ships having been put into service in 2018. In the Breakaway Plus category she is always one of the largest ships in the fleet, The activities, cabins, dining options and crew were all fantastic. Been blessed to have been on this ship a total of 42 days in the past year, including a bucket list 15 day Miami to Los Angeles Panama Canal cruise ...

The food was great. Are room attendant was great. He made sure everything was perfect. Some of the servers on the ship in the bar areas should be a little more willing to help you. We did find one issue. I do not smoke but my husband does. He would have to go all the way across the ship every time he wanted to smoke. I think you should have more smoking areas. I really was sad since it ...

Excellent Panama Canal Cruise in spite of some cabin issues

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Joy

Cruised many times on Norwegian but first time on the Joy. This is a newer ship, food, etc exceptional. Highly recommend No matter where your cabin is on this very large ship, the layout is easy to get around. Wide variety of dining opportunities. Highly recommend the specialty restaurants. Entertainment could have offered more variety but both theater productions were ...

Not the experience I expected.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Joy

I'm a smoker and the accommodations for smokers were the least accommodating I've experienced on a Norweigan ship. A small space, about 7' x 15' with chairs in two rows facing each other. In between the chairs were umbrella stands, very small 12'' x 12'' tables and lots of the kind of ashtrays you see outside office buildings. With so many chair legs, umbrella stands, tables and ashtrays it was ...

This was the maiden voyage for the Joy going through the Canal. Very very large ships but many cozy spots to gather with friends and family for chatting, napping and playing games. Food was typical cruise food. Staff were friendly and accommodating. This is why we chose a 16 trip. Met some amazing people from many cities and countries. I like sea days because didn’t feel rushed to get off for ...

We booked this cruise for the Panama Canal Passage which was a wonderful experience . The only blunder of the actual event is that we were told an incorrect time (5;30 am ) for passing under the Bridge of America. I luckily awoke at 2:45 am and was on deck as we passed under around 3:30 am . The rest of the morning was spent listening to other passengers complain that they missed it. Panama ...

Celebrating my husbands retirement. Got a great deal through a travel company. Because we got such a great deal it’s easy to focus on the positives for sure. We definitely got off to a rough start though. NCL shuttle from LAX was a nightmare & I felt horrible seeing elderly suffer standing in the heat for so long with enormous herds of people with poor leadership NCL staff. Since the ship is So ...

Norwegian changed Itinerary with one week left with no explanation

I was really disappointed in Norwegian considering they changed the itineray with 1 week left before cruise and offered no explanation. Costa Rico was out replaced by Alcapulco. That mean 4 Mexico Ports. which were almost all the same. No local maps provifded unless you anted to shop luxury brands or diamonds. Last year I went to S America on Celebrity Eclipse and we were provided local ...

Wanted to see if a Travel with Alan cruise was for us; first time on Norweigan cruise. Amazing reading the reviews - our experience was unlike others. We waited 2 hours at the airport for NCL bus - arrived at ship 25 minutes before sailing. Not a good beginning - we would have gone home then if we could have gotten our money back. We thought the food in the restaurants was great, Garden Cafe ...
