This is not one of those cruises where the ship is part of the destination. On this cruise, the destinations are the destinations, and the cruise ship is the generally enjoyable means by which you get there. In the weeks leading up to our sailing, there were many issues with access to water onboard late at night, tsunami warning(s), high surf advisories, and some associated missed ports. On our ...
We (two retired female friends) chose this cruise because the P of A spends so much time on the islands, with all traveling done at night. We spent two days on Oahu before the cruise, got to see a big wave surf competition, and the Kualoa Ranch. (Both excellent). Arrived at Hanauma Bay, prepared to snorkel, and found that they close at 5:30, not 7 p.m. as advertised everywhere. So we missed ...
Six of us chose this lifelong dream of cruising the Hawaiian Islands (2 married couples and 2 singles). Our cruise was February, 2018. There seem to be excitement among everyone, not just us, while getting ready to board the ship. Boarding and disembarkation went very smooth. None of us were disappointed at the elegance, beauty, and first class appearance of the ship, our rooms, the restaurants, ...
We chose this cruise because we had never been to Hawaii before, its such a long trip from New York, we figured it was a good way to see a lot of different areas without having to keep packing and unpacking. We loved everything about it, having a hard time reading the reviews from people who have complaints, we had a great week. The embarkation and debarkation a breeze, much unlike other cruises ...
Sailed on January 20th, 2018.
I’m trying to come up with a few positive mentions, but it’s very difficult.
Pros: Most of the crew we encountered were extremely nice
Water pressure in the bathroom was great
Cons: Ship is very old and not even close to a “Luxury” cruise ship.
Design of ship is boring and not exciting…because it’s an OLD SHIP
Food in the buffet was ...
Swift embarkation and yes our interior room was small but it was kept clean and tidy by our steward and we didn't spend much time in there but to shower and sleep. We were impressed with the ship , it's crew , we loved the food in both the restaurants and the buffet and the drinks too. We have no complaints at all and felt we were well looked after on our time aboard. My only niggle would be the ...
We chose this cruise because my husband was doing his CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits on board. This was our FIRST NCL cruise. We have sailed on ocean cruises numerous times with a variety of cruise lines from Deluxe to Luxury; we have also sailed with a private company in the Galapagos as well as river cruises in Europe. Both my husband and I were both pleasantly surprised. The ...
This is a great cruise of four of the major Hawaiian islands; the days on each island were divided well, and we were very happy with NCL and the crew. The ship was beautiful, very clean, and in great condition. Even the public bathrooms always looked 'just-cleaned.' We didn't make it to all of the restaurants, but every meal we did have on the ship I'd rate as excellent or very good, ditto for ...
We sailed on the sister ship Pride of Aloha 11 years ago. We felt this would be a gret experience again. We started our adventure in Honalulu The day before the cruise. I was fun exploring.
Embarkationa and disembarkation went very smoothly.
We were told that our 2 cabins would have connecting balconies. When we arrived instead was adjoining rooms. In hindsight, a ship of this age would ...
This was a wonderful way to get to see 4 of the Hawaiian Islands. This was our first trip to Hawaii. We did an 8 night cruise, the first night was at the Waikiki Marriott. We had a penthouse suite on board, which gave us plenty of room. The deck was wonderful.
We had breakfast daily in Cagney's which was very good, not crowded at all. A dining package came with our suite so we had 3 dinners in ...
