We had a great time in Hawaii. The ports they stop in are great, except that some of them you have to walk a great distance thru an industrial area to get away from the boat.
The food was ok, but with small portions and overdone meat. The Buffet offered the same food every day with no variety.
The food service employees in the Buffet were often rude and acted like we were interrupting their ...
We went to Hawaii for Easter week. The cruise was excellent from the butler to the steward and wait staff. If you want to experience Hawaii this is the way to do it. Shore excursions were fairly expensive but worth the price. I would go on this cruise again in a heart beat..The pen house suite for a good size, reminded me of a suite at the Hilton. Bed was extremely comfortable. My 12 year old ...
We choose this cruise for the itinerary and number of islands offered and the over night in Maui and Kauai.
After booking the Canadian at par became available which made the cruise more affordable.
We found the food and service in Liberty very good. Cagney's good but expensive, LaCucina service poor compared to Liberty, East Meets West one dinner was poor quality.
Skyline was a good ...
This was our first trip to Hawaii, so we felt that cruising would allow us to get a sampling of all of the islands while avoiding moving from hotels and waiting at airports.
We really enjoyed the cruise! Our only other cruise was with Regent Seven Seas, so don't feel it is fair to "compare" with their 5-star services. But most aspects of the Pride of America were very enjoyable. The food ...
We wanted to see as many islands as possible and this worked very well. We enjoyed touring each of the islands. However the volcano on Maui was dormant and therefore was not visible at night. Our helicopter flight on Kauai was cancelled due to poor weather. That is the chance you take while traveling.
The food on the cruise was average at best. Menu selection was limited at the Skyline and ...
The ship itself is fine - I don't really have any other experience to compare it to - but it served it's purpose of getting us from point A to point B. It's a wonderful way to see the islands without the hassle of packing and unpacking bags and factoring in travel time. We were only on the ship at night and made a point to get off and explore at each port. Even though the cabins are small, we were ...
I promised my mother I would take her to Hawaii, and the price was right for me to do it. Helped me fulfill a promise. Because there were no foreign countries with this cruise, she did not have to have a passport. This was her first time on a cruise ship and my second. I loved watching her eyes as she took in all the new sights.
We were on the pride of America. The ship was enjoyable. We ...
Getting on ship was easy. Room was ready by 4pm. First night was rough night at sea. I have CPAP, be sure to bring extension cord. No cords plug ins by bed.
Next morning took shower in smallest shower ever. Good luck on washing feet and legs. Went to buffet, it was great. Good selection.
We rented a car for road to Hana. Great decision. Pay $6 download Gypsy guide to Hana, gave very ...
Have been on a royal c. Cruise before. the ship and amenities were much better. and royal c seemed to know what they were doing. ncl started off by having their safety briefing before we even got on the ship (we arrived on time). we never received that. getting normal temp water from the bathroom sink was nearly impossible (usually scalding hot no matter what). getting coffee from the coffee ...
Our trip was scheduled for 7 nights. It was changed to 6 nights. I did receive an email 4 days prior to our departure but I didn't see the email, so I found out the the trip was shortened when I boarded the ship. I had to reschedule all of my car reservations and excursions the morning I boarded the ship. The Guest Relations staff were NOT helpful. I was told to call the corporate office. I did ...
