Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

I had taken this cruise before, ten years ago, and it was wonderful. American Airlines caused us to not land in Honolulu until 6:15 p.m. We had time to make it to the pier by 7:00, but the ship sent a rep from a tour company to console us (and others) rather than taking us to the pier. We found out later from another cruiser that the ship actually left port early and was already gone by 6:15. They ...

We cruised from June 23-30th on NCL's Pride of America. It was a good way to get a view of several of the Hawaiian Islands. Our balcony cabin was small but serviceable. There was enough room to store our clothing, but we had to use every last drawer and shelf. The balcony with its two chairs and small table was great for enjoying the view as we sailed between islands. My advice would be to ...

I wish other cruise lines would offer the same type of cruise in Hawaii

The only reason my mom & I booked with NCL PoA is beacause Princess cruise line did not offer the fly to Hawaii-cruise the islands for 7 day trip. The Hawaiian cruise offered by NCL did not meet my expectations. The food offered on the ship was not up to what I am used cruising on Princess Cruise Lines. Food offered was very repetitive. We did not eat at the for charge restaurants as everything ...

We picked this cruise because we have never been to Hawaii and we wanted to see as many islands as we could. My husband doesn't like to fly and the thought of flying and changing hotels every couple days didn't sound appealing. So this cruise fit perfectly. Once to unpack and the same bed for a week. I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. The ship seemed fine to me. Yes, some of ...

We took this cruise eight years ago and decided to take our adult children on it for their first cruise experience. Everything was wonderful and they enjoyed it immensely. They were very impressed with the food..our son thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts. We mostly ate in the Skyline restaurant which is much nicer than going through the buffet We were lucky that the captain decided to take ...

To see the Hawaiian Islands..the excursions were terrific..the people, the places were fantastic...but.. The ship is old and tiny! I paid for a balcony cabin, what would have gotten me a nice one on Princess or Celebrity Cruise LInes (where I have sailed 4 times before)..barely got one that was big enough to hold two twin beds...18"-20" from the foot of the bed to the opposite wall. Balcony ...

I chose Norwegian because other friends of mine took this exact cruise two years before. Plus my Travel Agent highly recommended it. From the moment we came aboard the ship to to the moment of our final moments before disembarking we felt special and well taken care of. It was my 50th birthday on the 1st day we set sail. When we arrived in our cabin there were decorations (Balloons, signs) ...

The cruise was part of a package offered by NCL. We traveled as a couple. We joined the ship in Honolulu the boarding procedure/cabin allocation was very tedious and long. Once in our cabin was slightly disappointed that there were no tea coffee facilities but there was a safe and a fridge. The service of the cabin was excellent it was cleaned every day to a very high standard. We tried three of ...

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 50th Anniversary by going to Hawaii. I explored my options, and we decided on a cruise. We felt this was the best way to see more islands. I found that Norwegian's Pride of America, was the best option. We also wanted to do a vow re newel on the ship. WE were leery, though, because of the reviews. Some of the reviews complained about service, food, ...
