Nice, but not great!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

This ship is my idea of "average". Everything was okay and nothing was great. Correction...the staff was great. Everyone was smiling and ready to help at all times. The departure went smoothly, as did the disembarkation. The food was okay, but nothing special in the Aloha Buffet. I have sailed on equal value ships that had better variety. The Liberty dining room had a bit fancier foods. The ...

1st Time on NCL - Mostly Great!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Random thoughts on our cruise – this is longer that I expected! I had a great time with my two sisters on our annual cruise. Yes This was my first NCL cruise and they had both cruised NCL once a number of years ago. I’ve cruised mostly on Royal, but also have done Carnival, Celebrity and Princess. We were in room 11639- Inside Cabin. Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll do my best to ...

Very Dissatisfied

It's been years since we sailed on NCL, but we thought we would give it a try. Major disappointment. The show/entertainment was sub-par. The food in the dining room ms and buffet were awful, but the service was good. Our room Stewart was very rude. The casino set up was cool. Embarkation was smooth. The entire cruise seemed disorganized. We had a storm which stopped the tenders from running, so ...

The Cruise Curmudgeon Goes to South America

Review for a South America Cruise on Norwegian Star

South America on the Norwegian Star This trip was pretty fantastic! The smaller, older Norwegian ships are far preferable to the gigantic, crowded mega-ships, in my opinion! This is what we liked about our South American voyage on the Star: (1) The ship was nicely quiet in most places. There was not annoying music playing in the hallways and public venues. (2) One lovely thing about the ...

Worst customer service all around!

This was our 4th cruise with Norwegian first on the Breakaway. I have never experienced a more reluctant crew to provide service. Many staff members were too busy talking/visiting with each other or cell phones. Here is our list of disappointments regarding poor customer service on our 7 day excursion. 1. Stateroom- steward removed our opened wine bottle and our chocolates that we set ...

Service not the greatest

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Getting on and off the ship in Port Canaveral was the easiest I have experienced in 8 cruises. Truly a breeze! I had been on the Breakaway in July and absolutely loved the ship. When we came home I booked this trip. The difference in the casino staff, bartenders and drink servers was really noticeable. This cruise the service at some bars was so bad that we actually left and went to other ...

Beautiful ship with bad food. Had to make reservations for everything.

Group chose this cruise for the Superbowl. On the positive side, the ship is beautiful and the Burn the Floor show was outstanding. Also, the magician and comedian were great The breakfast and lunch at the buffet were very good, as was the food in the Bistro. THe show Six was ok, but not our favorite. Big negative was having to make reservations for the shows, the specialty restaurants ...

Safe and Sanitized -

Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jade

The itinerary was perfect. The ships crew kept everyone safe from the Corona Virus by spraying every passenger with sanitizer at multiple checkpoints around the ship. At no time did I ever feel unsafe and unprotected from the corona virus. Was awarded an upgrade from an inside cabin to a mini-suite in the rear of the ship by bidding online prior to departure. The cost was a lot less than I ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Received quite a good deal when booking from the UK with less than 3 weeks to go. Online booking process very easy and straightforward. Having cruised with Celebrity in the past, who we love, we were looking forward to trying another cruise line. The ship; -Very well refurbished -Although smaller - seemed ample space for everyone -Layout can be a bit tricky at times but really not ...

Almost perfect but a missed port put a damper on things

This was my first cruise and I really wanted to take my parents away for my mom's birthday. We were skeptical of how the trip would be since this is a small older ship. We were pleasantly surprised, the ship looks great with the renovations, the room was lovely and perfect for a short 5 day itinerary. We really enjoyed the food at the palace and crossings! We had the premium beverage package and ...
