Norwegian Cruise Did Not Live Up To Previous Standards

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We chose this cruise because it departed from Boston near our home, so no need for airline travel. Also, it was during school vacation week so we could take our kids and grandkids with us. There were 10 of us with all cabins close to one another. The boarding process was difficult because the lines were horrendous and we had one person who uses a walker. We later learned that there was a ...

i have nothing but negative words to say about the norwegian cruise line. we had problems since walking on the ship. we came with 7 people sharing three rooms. getting on we were each given key cards to get into our rooms. which one after another didn’t work. we had to contact guest services several times to have them fixed yet they could not figure it out for us. one of the members we came with ...

Our cruise was originally booked for 2020 Leaving from Miami to San Miguel, Lisbon and 3 stops in Spain and then flying home to Boston. Because of the pandemic this did not take place. We were told in November 2021 that we had to choose a cruise by December 2021 or loose trip and money. We decided to go out of New York harbor into Caribbean with stop in Dominica Republic, St Thomas, St Maarten ...

Never again with NCL

We chose Norwegian Star because of the price was right. But the saying goes you get what you pay for. Let me start by saying that if you expect help from personnel if you contract Covid on the ship, you are badly fooling yourself. Let me tell you, as for a health care professional for 40 years, sanitation is the least of there worries. I went on board on April 13, 2022 in Venus, Croatia, ...

We had two adults and a 13yo on the ship. As stated in other reviews, there is good meh, and bad. Good- the staff is truly five stars. Even with the masks the staff was always friendly and helpful, greater you every time you walked by, and went out of their way to help you. The best. Staterooms- Amenities we’re great. We had an outside room/balcony. Everything worked, hot water, ac were ...

I’ve loved NCL for a while now. This was my 3rd or 4th cruise to Bermuda out of NY on NCL. I’ve also tried RCL for a couple out of Florida and just preferred not to hassle with flights and Covid tests however, I was sadly mistaken. I had a group of five which included 2 kids ages 5 and 12. Firstly, NCL Getaway is much like the other cruise ships they have that’s mid size with 6-7 specialty ...

Haven upgrade was well worth it!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

NCL sent us an email before the cruise and offered us a chance to bid on an upgrade. I figured why not and bid on a Haven 2 bedroom villa, even though there was only 2 of us traveling. Any woman would love to have the master bathroom to herself! We got the upgrade! Haven was everything you thought it would be. If you have the opportunity, go for it. Only 2 complaints. The Jewel’s Haven is ...

Don't go on this Cruise if you want to go to Roatan

First the positives: The service staff was fantastic. All of them work incredibly hard and are incredibly friendly and really want you to have a great time. Passenger numbers were around 2200, making it not difficult to do almost everything you wanted and not feel crowded. The ship certainly did not feel empty by any means. The pool was always busy, but you could find a lounger no ...

We both got Covid

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

User Avatar

2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

This was my 2nd time on NCL, the first being on the Escape pre-Covid. It was very crowded, and embarkation to Bermuda was unbelievably unorganized. We waited over 6 hours in line. It was horrid and I believe that may be where we were infected, but who knows. Food was mediocre in the MDR, and O'Sheean's was served cold several times. I never saw my room steward once the entire ...

The Best for Solo Cruising

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

User Avatar

NCL is the best for solo travelling - best pricing and inclusions, solo cabins if desired, great solo hosts and nightly solo gatherings at 5:30 in special bar/lounge. Host can get any number of solos into different restaurants, shows, etc and the best host I have had was this week’s Patrick. He was fantastic and as part of entertainment team, he was great for trivia and other events. Could not ...
