Everyone had a wonderful time!!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We had a fabulous time on our Escape cruise!! Yes, it was more than a full ship, but honestly we were not bothered by waiting for anything for very long! I will say, our family eats early, so we never had to wait to get into restaurants. We also were able to get into every show in the theater. We arrived about 20 to 30 minutes early...just to get good seats! The entertainment was GREAT! There was ...

Escaping to the Caribbean with walking difficulties

Several years I started a series of blogs relating our adventures[and misadventures] of cruising with someone who has walking difficulties ie my husband. For anonymity I call him 6. You may remember the 70s series about Steve Austin an astronaut who was severely injured and rebuilt with bionics to the tune of 6 million dollars. Well as a result of Rheumatoid arthritis hitting him in his ...

Dream of a week

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We just returned from a dream of a week on NCL Escape for our family of 4 (ages 31, 30, 4, 1) and we had the BEST time! I really really CANNOT understand the vast majority of the negative reviews about this ship. So many things I mentally prepared for being subpar were absolutely wonderful. This was our first NCL cruise (grant it due to kids and the pandemic, I have not sailed other lines for 7+ ...

Almost nothing good to say

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Gem

I won't reiterate what so many others here are saying, all the detailed step-by-step comments. I'll just fill in where I think I can add to what everyone else has already said: The crew is very overworked. Surprisingly, almost all of them still seemed to want to be as helpful as possible. I wouldn't have had the grace. But still, their collective efforts can't fix everything. Bar staff often ...

Terrific Ship, terrible food

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

User Avatar

Embarkation was smooth and orderly. We were taken to a location for a quick lunch before we were able to go to our rooms. Our cruise had lots of preplanned entertainment so that part was an incredible experience. The theater is truly amazing and everything we saw there was excellent. The sound, lights and comfort of the seats was exceptional. Our room (2 bedroom family room) was perfection. ...

NCL has slipped... and not in a good way

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

I chose this cruise because it left from my home port of Boston, and it was a 7 day cruise with 2.5 full days in Bermuda ...my happy place. The schedule was great.. arrive on sunday afternoon and leave at 7 am on Wednesday. Not to mention NCL historically has been my favorite line. I could complain about the weather.. it was too cold to be outside to enjoy the sail away party... and Saturday ...

Terrible Time

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Terribly sad, large portion of staff rude, they do not want anyone to have a great time, food was ok, after 31 cruises I can tell you this is by far a total waste of your money. I have sat with I would have to say without exaggeration 100 people probably more , the general census is the ship is just no fun at all. In every area of the ship. What is going on, we have yet seen the so called cruise ...

Bad service, bad food, bait and switch itineraries

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

This cruise was just awful. This was our ninth cruise overall and second Norwegian cruise. We left the ship after day four (of a 9 day cruise) and will never step foot on a Norwegian ship again. It started bad with an itinerary change conveniently after the ability to get a refund. We lost all of the Black Sea ports with the war in Ukraine given as the reason. The war had been going on for 9 ...

Overall Nice cruise and staff

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

User Avatar

Overall had a nice cruise for a spring break week with lots of kids and large groups. Fam of 4. on 2nd NCL (Bliss previously) and 9th cruise overall. Spent night before at Marriott across from port and just walked over. Relaxed in Mall Food Court until check-in time and than took elevator down to street level to drop bags. Through security and in waiting room in about 15 min. Waited about another ...
