Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We did our first family cruise with our 12 year old son and 6 year old daughter. My husband and I cruised alone in 2022, so we wanted our kids to have a fun cruise experience to the Caribbean. We departed out of NOLA, where we did some non-NCL tours prior to and after the cruise. NOLA isn't kid-friendly, but we did enjoy our time there. I heard a lot of complaints about the NOLA terminal, but we ...

Great cruise with great food in the main and specialty restaurants.

I sailed the 7-night April 9-16, 2023 cruise aboard the NCL Breakaway. The cruise departed from and returned to New Orleans. POSITIVES: *Great food in 3 main restaurants. NCL really stands out in this area. I can say this is a company-wide trait and one that influences me to keep sailing NCL. *Water slides were great when working. *Harvest Caye is excellent. *The crew is ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

This is our third cruise, and our first with Norwegian. We booked a Oceanview cabin for this 7 day cruise, our previous cruises were both 4 days long and we booked Inside cabins. The cabin looks great, with lots of drawers and closet space. There are 7 lights in the room, but only one electrical outlet. This posed a problem when attempting to charge 2 smartphones, a tablet and 2 sets of earbuds. ...

Basically a scam!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

To say this cruise was a disappointment would be an understatement! We came on Norwegian for our Honeymoon and I have never regretted a vacation more. I’ll try and make this as short as possible. Day 1 after everyone was on board they canceled 2 of our ports and an entire country off our itinerary, which was 1 of 2 countries we cared about going to. Unfortunately, we found this out at 11pm in a ...

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

We chose this cruise, as it would give us an opportunity to explore the Hawaiian Islands and enjoy the beauty that is Hawaii, while cruising with NCL on its Pride of America ship. While the destination did not disappoint, unfortunately, the Pride of America (PoA) did not live up to its name. In fact, I would say both NCL and PoA were an absolute disappointment in the way we were treated. In ...

Overcrowding at its Worst

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

I planned this cruise with a friend that I hadn't seen in almost 15 years. First, the good... the crew was absolutely amazing. From the moment we embarked until we said our last goodbyes, there was not a single crew member who we would not have given the highest regard. There were a few who stood out above the rest and we recognized them with Hero Cards and additional tips, but all were amazing ...

Not a Good Value

One would think a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands would be a slam dunk wonderful experience – we were certainly disappointed by our week with Norwegian on their Spirit of America. This cruise is basically a floating hotel/dining room that provides inter-island transportation and not much else. Here’s my impression(s) of what we experienced (all using a scale of ...

Multiple reasons why I won't be cruising Norwegian again

We chose this trip as part of a 75th birthday celebration and to visit Israel (we had pre booked a private tour of Jerusalem and the Dead sea). The Israel stops were cancelled once we were onboard, understandable in the circumstances but still disappointing. We've cruised many times, including on Jade before her refit, and are NCL Platinum.. which does give you priority embarkation, free meals ...

This is our third trip on the Escape. We had a group of 10 with four of them being teenagers. Getting on the boat was super easy. We left from port Canaveral. We stood in line for a quick few minutes and then got registered. Once we got registered we waited about 30-40 minutes to board the ship. (We always arrive early to board so we know we'll have to wait). The boat has showed it's age a ...

Chilly cruise to Bermuda

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

The ship was packed, I have never seen one so packed. Unfortunately the weather was not very good so the pool area was not as enjoyable and one day the weather cancelled all of my shore excursions. From the day after arrival in Bermuda, the weather was chilly until arriving in Boston for an unusually warm day, it did affect the enjoyment but that was God's will The food at the buffet was very ...
