Could have been better

Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

Second time on Norwegian Jewel. Previous time was nice but not amazing. We chose it again because of the itinerary. What we did not like this time: - lack of sufficient and clear information prior to embarkation. the website is not working properly, no responses on email or phone. Problems with booking excursions. - the ship's entertainment pretty much resembled last year's programme - ...

The Jade is no jewel

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Jade

The good: The ship is in great condition in all common areas. we had great weather once outside of Tampa. No issues with sailing. Disembarkation was quick we got off at 8:30 am without effort. I'm focusing review on food and entertainment since these are hot button issues currently. The Bad: The food on this ships sailing was a C- in the buffet and the MDR. The overall vibe was that NCL ...

Terrible

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Jade

An entire week of our toilet not flushing and flooding. Spent half our vacation at the service desk trying to get our toilet fixed. Then on the last day Norwegian offered a room change...when we would be getting off the ship the next day. Multiple times we had to get up in the middle of the night and use a public washroom on another floor. What a nightmare. How is this acceptable for what is meant ...

The cruise has a great variety of things to do and always keeps you well fed. There is a main dining hall that has included breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also ALOT of bars, restaurants and entertainment onboard. Writing this review it is important that i specify we had the "Free at sea package" Pros- - A LOT of places to eat and grab a drink - Entertainment with good music ...

Disappointing

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

Of all the many cruises we’ve enjoyed on ships large and small, this was by far the worst. Although the ship itself is elegant, good management was sorely lacking. We were told that the ship is always short-staffed because their people can (and do) leave without fulfilling their contracts. Well, I think incentives and bonuses might help. Keep your people happy so your customers will be treated ...

Disappointed, felt like camping NOT luxury

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

I'm an experienced cruiser who has cruised on small and large ships all over the world for the past 15 years. I chose this inter island cruise in Hawaii based on the location for my 40th birthday without the hassle "sea days" taking another cruise line across the Pacific Ocean from either California or Canada to visit Hawaii and all the islands. The perk of the ship is that is its very clean and ...

Traveling with adult friends age 60’s, enjoyed being with friends no matter what. Food was good , better at specialty dining. Service outstanding from waiter Ryan at Savors, the only one who asked us if we wanted coffee and also cleaned crumbs off the table. He was also smiling pleasant humorous and showed he loved his job. The adult outdoor H2O sunny area with 2 whirlpools and a small wading ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Gem

We sailed on the NCL Gem from 2/16-2/19. It was just hubby and I, we’re experienced cruisers with NCL and Royal Caribbean. For starters, I love the size of the Gem. I have been on the Getaway few years ago which at the time was one of the biggest, and since then only sailed on medium-sized ships. THE POSITIVES FIRST The Embarkation process - we embarked in Miami, and it was a breeze. ...

Great new itinerary

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Sky

User Avatar

This is a new cruise that Norwegian is testing. Starts in Dominica Republic, goes to 14 islands in 14 days, southern swinging up eastern back to Dominica Republic. It’s on the Norwegian Sky. Older, smaller ship but refurbished a few years ago. Because it’s a smaller ship, able to get into smaller islands. Only one tender to a private island. Lots of beaches, lots of cultural experiences and some ...

NCL let us down in Africa and Madagascar

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

User Avatar

We've used Norwegian for all our cruises and after this one we hit the Platinum level Latitudes. We've experienced some amazing things cruising with NCL, but this cruise has been awful. Only two redeeming things we've had in 12 days. The first was a dinner at their new Mexican restaurant Los Lobos Cantina. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional. We also always book the Mandara Spa ...
