I chose this cruise because of the Race track and lazer tag activities. However I found that the mini go Kart racing was harder than it looked...so i flunked racing...smile
The ship was amazing very beautiful, the food was excellent...The entertainment was very good, service was very good. Balcony rooms very small going to the pool area was a disaster chairs so close you couldn't move ...
When we arrived to get on the ship we had to wait about 30 minutes to an hour to just get on the ship. When we got on we had to wait about another 30 minutes to get through security and everything else. Sunday we were supposed to go to GSC but did not due to “weather”. The weather looked about the same as it did when we arrived on the ship. My whole family was really looking forward to getting off ...
We were supposed to leave at 4. Around 6 the captain announced there was a medical emergency which had caused the delay and they would keep us informed. Ok. We all bought that and hoped the person was getting the help they needed and would be ok. We received no more information and the cruise didn't leave until after 11 pm. Ok, now most people weren't believing the 'medical emergency' ...
I chose this cruise for two reasons. 1) we went on the escape 2 years ago for spring break and had an amazing experience. Great food, drinks, service was amazing and workers so friendly. 2) We chose the epic because we liked the itenerary to gsc, Jamaica, grand cayman and Cozumel and were hoping for a similar experience.
I want to start off saying it was not a terrible cruise. We had a great ...
I chose this cruise because of the solo option. It was really an experiment to see if I liked cruising solo. It was my 14th cruise, the first with Norwegian. I went to Miami the day before, coming from Tucson AZ. I stayed with family in Miami. The embarkation was very smooth, with good direction and functionality. It was odd exploring the ship by myself, but the staff were very helpful. ...
Just got off the 3/23/19 sailing. I have to say I have some mixed feelings about it. The cruise had some difficulties that I'll outline below, but even with those, we had a great time and would consider sailing her again if the right itinerary came up.
Quick Summary:
Pros: Great Entertainment, Friendly Staff, Clean Ship, Good Service
Cons: Delays, Missed Port, Terrible Disembarkation, ...
We sailed on the Epic for Spring Break. This was our first NCL cruise. Have done RCCL, Disney and Carnival. I had read a lot on here about the ship before we cruised. We had a great week and enjoyed everything we did on the ship. Thought the food was good in all places and the service was good with the exception of crowds at pool bars. Kids had a great time and enjoyed the sports court and meeting ...
The only good thing about Norwegian were the excursions, which you can get through other cruises too. Most of my interactions with staff were unhelpful at best and downright rude at worst. There seems to be a very prevalent "not my job" mentality where staff will go out of their way to avoid helping you or answering your questions. The rare few crew members who are actually pleasant are overworked ...
This is the 10th ncl cruise i have taken. Normally, i am very pleased and recommend them to friends. however, the epic, having 18 stories was another matter.
1. They have the same number of dining facilities (open to all) that the smaller ships have (like the dawn) and have the same seating, so getting a seat in the buffet is impossible. The main dining rooms even recommend reservations. This ...
I have been on multiple NCL cruises. With this experience, I have my expectations set. The crew on this ship was on par with or better than other NCL cruises I have completed in the past. The ship staff was top notch. The dining was excellent. I dined in the complimentary dining venues exclusively and never once did I feel like I was getting a subpar experience.
Embarkation was a ...
