When we arrived to get on the ship we had to wait about 30 minutes to an hour to just get on the ship. When we got on we had to wait about another 30 minutes to get through security and everything else. Sunday we were supposed to go to GSC but did not due to “weather”. We were supposed to leave at 4. Around 6 the captain announced there was a medical emergency which had caused the delay and they would keep us informed. Ok. I chose this cruise for two reasons. 1) we went on the escape 2 years ago for spring break and had an amazing experience. Just got off the 3/23/19 sailing. I have to say I have some mixed feelings about it. The cruise had some difficulties that I'll outline below, but even with those, we had a great time and would consider sailing her again if the right itinerary came up.

The only good thing about Norwegian were the excursions, which you can get through other cruises too. Most of my interactions with staff were unhelpful at best and downright rude at worst. There seems to be a very prevalent "not my job" mentality where staff will go out of their way to avoid helping you or answering your questions. This is the 10th ncl cruise i have taken. Normally, i am very pleased and recommend them to friends. however, the epic, having 18 stories was another matter.

I have been on multiple NCL cruises. With this experience, I have my expectations set. The crew on this ship was on par with or better than other NCL cruises I have completed in the past. The ship staff was top notch. The dining was excellent. I dined in the complimentary dining venues exclusively and never once did I feel like I was getting a subpar experience.
