There was a huge delay leaving port the first night. For some reason the water was turned off and the toilets did not flush. There was NO explanation for this. I heard other people talking about it so I know it was not just a fluke in our cabin. It was the beginning of what I learned to be very poor communication on this ship.

The Bliss is a newer ship, but the layout is not very efficient. The elevators take forever, especially going to and from Deck 16 where the buffet and pools are. Guest Services and the Shore Excursion Desk are located in the same area where bands play and where games are played, making it impossible to hear anything. So, on Saturday I arrived at the airport at 9am, I didn’t get to the ship until 2:30(ish) because the shuttles were taking forever and so many people signed up for the shuttle made the process that much longer.

We chose this cruise to celebrate folks 50th wedding anniversary! There were 32 in our party! This is NOT a handicap accessible boat! The hallways do not allow for a wheelchair to pass through with changing carts located everywhere. The debarkation and embarkation took the entire day! Our cruise was miserable from the moment we got to the port until we left the ship. It took us two hours to board the ship because the cruise before ours was taking too long to exit. Had an awesome vacation on the Bliss. This is our 15th cruise and fourth Norwegian and have cruised with all the major cruise lines. We were on it the last week of march. The boat had lots of kids on board as it was still march break in many areas of the US. I would probably go on one of these ships at times when there would be fewer kids.
