Atrium overcrowded, not enough shops

I chose this cruise because of the price, but I did not realize that everything you wish to do aboard the ship is either completely packed, or costs a fortune. People would sleep in the atrium in order to maintain their seat for the next event. If there was an event they did not wish to participate in, they remained in their seat without participating. It was quite frustrating. The best ...

Above and beyond our expectations.

We chose this cruise due to the dinning options and were so pleased. I love the anytime dining the NCL has to offer. I especially love that we never have to eat in the buffet if we don’t want. We chose inside cabin 9427 and our service was amazing. We liked the location of the cabin because it was on a floor close to evening activities. I would have liked for it to be a little more mid but will ...

Passenger to Crew ratio was less than desirable

We chose this cruise for the uniqueness of it's itinerary and length of cruise. Unfortunately Copenhagen, Denmark was the crew change-over (maybe Rotterdam, The Netherlands) and we had 3800 plus passengers and 1300 crew. Service was typically slow in all dining rooms, food was bland, tough, or not cooked correctly in many instances. Since we skipped Portugal it seems we ran out of many food ...

Not as expected

This wasn't at all what we expected as our first cruise. Embarkation was a nightmare. After receiving our cabin keys we were herded to a large room with hundreds of people. We waited there for 4 hours with nothing to drink and lots of standing room only with all the people. There was a network problem of some sort that stopped anyone from getting on the ship. After finally getting on we ...

Bad Experience

This was our first cruise ever and we were underwhelmed with the hospitality and the overall treatment that Norwegian provided. We waited 4 hours in the terminal to board the ship and then immediately had to do the required safety convocation so we did not get to our room until 4:30 p.m. Then when we signed up for the shore excursions we paid cash and Norwegian still charged us. Then when we went ...

Reposition back to home state. Price was reasonable. Had mini suite, size good, bathroom wonderful, high marks on this. Food in specialty restaurant was very good, main din8ng room food average, nothing’s special. Buffet had wide assortment, breakfast really good, as well as some lunch entrees. Activities were always offered but spaces to participate or view was limited for size of ship and ...

19 day re-positioning cruise Copenhagen to New Orleans. Staff, cabin stewards, bar staff all excellent and helpful. Management was terrible from top to bottom. Free Style was a joke as there were lines everywhere and you had to make reservations. Every docking ended with long lines. Unecessary stop in Miami was short and entailed a 4 hour wait in the terminal. Every question to Guest Services ...

Very crowded, lack of attention to basic management

We selected this cruise because I was attending a watercolor workshop. I enjoyed the course thoroughly. However, the location the ship provided was in a dark club painted black with limited lighting, their staff assisted us to have tables under the best lighting fixtures. The ship is very large and lacks good and quiet areas around the ship to just read and relax. In fact, at the last refit a ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and we love sea days. We didn't expect it to be 7 sea days in a row. After reading the other reviews, I totally agree with the comments of the reviewers. NCL really failed on this cruise for the things they had control over. The cabin and room steward was excellent. The ship was too big with too many people crowed in a small space like the ...

Take any cruise line but Norwegian

Years ago I heard that Norwegian was one of the worst cruise lines but since it was so long ago my family & I decided that perhaps they had gotten better over the years. Well, I am here to tell you they have not. The cruise was leaving from Miami & I live near the west coast. I opted for their air fare never imagining they would not allow me input as to departure times. If I was doing it ...
