Great cruise to see Panama Canal, and Central America

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Second time I cruised with Norwegian. My only three "real" complaints are : 1. the public rooms are very COLD. The Library felt like a meat locker. I think the cause is the staff is so "fully dressed." 2. I don't think the "specialty" restaurants are worth the price, $120 for a very average French meal, and $80 for Italian, and my wife's was inedible. 3. The theater talent and shows were ...

Great vacation

Loved the brand new ship. Very clean. It was very easy to navigate. Comedy shows should have been in the theater instead of the Social Club. You have to pay $7 to reserve a seat. We chose to stand in the stand by line, for over an hour. We were disappointed with the food. You expect a selection of seafood on a Caribbean cruise. Crab legs and lobster were only offered once, and ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

We received a beverage package as one of our perks and automatically were charged $250 per person for gratuities. I had no problem with that until I discovered we were also charged an ADDITIONAL gratuity for each and every beverage ordered on top of what we had already paid!!! NCL also charges $15 per day per passenger for "behind the scenes" employee services. This cruise line is now traded ...

An amazing vacation on the Bliss in the Haven

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

The Bliss is a beautiful new ship. It's kept in pristine condition. You never see trash laying around, fingerprints on the mirrors, etc. The staff is on top of it. We stay in the Haven suites, so we do have a bit of a different experience than those not staying in the Haven. If you can afford it, it's totally worth it. The restaurant is amazing, from food to service. The courtyard is beautiful and ...

Nice new boat but needs improvements

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Encore

The new ship was very nice and well de-cored. The rooms were smaller than the older ship and it suffered by a lack of closet space. The main complimentary dining rooms were nice but the food was ok at best. At lease the food was served hot on hot plates. The specialty restaurants were slightly better but not worth the extra money if you had to pay for it. The Main pool DJ, (DJ Viper) was not ...

Overall a great ship, however there’s room for improvement with Norwegian

Let me start this review by saying my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, this was our second cruise on Norwegian and we loved the Bliss so much more than the Gem however, I will address issues that occurred on this trip and things that Norwegian as a company should do better. Embarkation was pretty quick which was nice, once we got on the ship we headed to the garden cafe, plenty ...

Could have been a great cruise except for the noise volume everywhere.

I've started writing this while still on board with a few days yet to go on our cruise so that everything is fresh in mind, and will finish after we leave the ship. My wife and I booked a Mini Suite and with it came some special offers which we accepted. Don't feel for a moment that what you are paying for your 'Guest Fare' is anywhere near your total expense. Here what was on our ...

How to have a "Bliss-full" stressfree cruise

Rather than do an actual review since everyone has their own opinions, I am going to list some helpful tips so that you have a stress-free cruise on the Bliss... Expect the unexpected - There are ALWAYS things that change on a cruise, on ours we were informed at muster that because of a pending storm we were going to miss our first stop in Puerto Rico and we would have choppy seas going down, ...

Best Cruise Ever

We wanted a winter escape. This new ship is absolutely gorgeous. The shows were amazing. The dining options add so much variety. The fitness center is huge, and my massage at the spa was wonderful. We enjoyed the excursions too. There is a full-sized Starbucks on this ship! Every single employee was friendly and helpful. Our stateroom was really nice, and the bathroom was way bigger than what I ...
