This cruise was selected as we had traveled on Norwegian (Pearl) this past October; we loved the layout, staff, cruise options, etc. 2nd reason we selected Norwegian (Epic this time) were the ports of call including St Kitts and Aruba. NEVER AGAIN will we sail out of Puerto Rico and Norwegian just dropped to the bottom of our bucket list. 2 of the ports of call were dropped with no ...
Chose this cruise for the ports and excursions. First day had to find our luggage and requested an extension cord for my CPAP. Told to come and get it at guest services, cord was too short and would need to find a longer one. Cabin Steward found one for us. Ship is an older one and was listed as having renovation in 2015, was told only the carpets were changed. Cabin, very small and tight for two ...
We chose this cruise because we have sailed with Norwegian before. Room Stewart was not very attentive. Will not sail this ship again. The ship gave out of ultra beer or if you tipped they would find you one. When itineraries changed took half the day to get you the changes to your cabin. I love the freestyle of Norwegian but wasn’t impressed with the dawn at all. Smoking area was very crowded ...
Celebrated my twin’s first semester of college but going on NCL’s newest ship. I get NCL’s Casino at Seas version of a Comped Cruise ($140 pp) for an inside cabin. I did the upgrade bid and got bumped up to a midship Balcony for another $280 total. Boarding was a breeze, as Casino guests get priority boarding. We walked straight on. The ship still has it’s new car smell. The new speciality ...
We went on this same itinerary last year and loved it! We have cruised on the Epic before. This cruise was not what we expected. The elevators were like cattle cars. They were always filled and took forever to get where we wanted to be. The dining in specialty restaurant was very good. The problem was availability after excursions. The staff did not manage the numbers of people that wanted to eat. ...
The transfer getting to the cruise took an hour. The transfer workers just yelled at you. Plus, they kept us locked on the bus for 10 minutes until they took the suitcases off the bus.
Then, the lady at the front office could not fix my key card. She told me I had 5 minutes to make it to my room, so security could fix the key card. Well, I sat on the floor outside my room for 30 minutes until ...
The islands that we did go to was really nice the food was okay the problem that i had is im a platinum plus and we had more than one room our daughters room was never done when we arrived we complained more than 2 times just to get there rooms done by then it was after midnight, we never got our stuff that was due to us like champagne, chocolate strawberries, water we have not gotten that until ...
the food was excellent. If we ate at the buffet or at the restaurants and the service also was top notch. The ship was very clean, restrooms kept at their best. Getting on the ship was a breeze. The ship decor was like a medium priced hotel, nothing special.
now not so good. We were not told of a 15.00 surcharge a day for the tipping policy. I am not sure how the servers are paid these ...
We booked on the Encore to experience a brand new ship, and because the itinerary included ports we had never seen before, plus the Free at Sea offers. We found the ship to be quite beautiful, all new and shiny! As many have stated, the extra charges were ridiculous, and some of the activities and items included in the price were not worth offering. While we did book our specialty restaurants ...
Cruise Review: Brutally honest!
This is my fourth cruise so I truly can’t say I am an experienced cruiser. What I will do is compare my cruises and give you my honest opinion. I have cruise with two different cruise lines and so I will compare them as I have experienced. With these two you have good and bad and there’s always something to complain about. So for the Norwegian Dawn, our cruise ...
