Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

This trip was my second cruise, but my first time on the Norwegian Pearl. I had so much fun and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great time. The restaurants have amazing food and drinks plus there’s a variety of daily activities for all ages. As someone with celiac disease, I felt very safe while dining on board. Even the buffet has gluten free options, such as a separate prep ...

Great room with amazing bathroom; ship severely lacking amenities!

My wife and I wanted to travel to Bermuda, and we have relatives in Boston. I'll keep it short. Most things on board are pay as you go, except for the live entertainment and a few other minor exceptions. The repeated "health lectures" were virtually identical but with a variety of catchy themes (like "increase your metabolism"). I am a medical professional and I was more than perturbed by the ...

Terrific Ship, terrible food

Embarkation was smooth and orderly. We were taken to a location for a quick lunch before we were able to go to our rooms. Our cruise had lots of preplanned entertainment so that part was an incredible experience. The theater is truly amazing and everything we saw there was excellent. The sound, lights and comfort of the seats was exceptional. Our room (2 bedroom family room) was perfection. ...

NCL has slipped... and not in a good way

I chose this cruise because it left from my home port of Boston, and it was a 7 day cruise with 2.5 full days in Bermuda ...my happy place. The schedule was great.. arrive on sunday afternoon and leave at 7 am on Wednesday. Not to mention NCL historically has been my favorite line. I could complain about the weather.. it was too cold to be outside to enjoy the sail away party... and Saturday ...

WIhy did I chose this cruise? We like Norwegian, it has been our 5th cruise with NCL. We have been on Carnival, etc. Because of the location of cruising out of Boston to Bermuda it is the perfect cruise for us. Take a Lyft to the dock, ready to go. Some things have changed over the years, one is adding Maine to the itinerary. Although we have gone off ship in Maine,, we are shoulder ...

Things are trending the wrong way on NCL (and check your onboard account often)

I usually read others posting and think the criticism is a bit much, but I could not help but report many issues that occurred while on our latest cruise to Bermuda from Boston. This cruise took place from November 4th to November 11th. Let me preface my following comments with the fact that my wife and I are dedicated cruisers with NCL having achieved Platinum Status and are Stock Shareholders in ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Most of my review compares our Royal Caribbean cruise in June on Oasis of the Seas with this trip. Overall, NCL did not have to deal with any covid restrictions while RC did for our last trip. The Oasis is bigger than the Breakaway. While less grand, the Breakaway was far more manageable for me to find things and get around. Embark was great. Easy. Our App didn’t work in advance but they ...

Subcontract Fights!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We booked a cruise with NCL, also paid for them to book our flights, and paid for transport to and from the airport to ship. Our paperwork from NCL stated to fly from American Airlines. When in reality the airlines subcontracted it out to another airline .5 miles away! Total screw-up on NCL end! Cruse was ok, though the hot tub was only 98 degrees. Everything was extra, and you paid dearly for it. ...

Breakaway—NYC to New England & Canada

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We booked this cruise a year ago onboard the Jade in the Greek Islands—which was an amazing cruise to beautiful islands on a refurbished smaller ship with low occupancy. After I started reading reviews of the Breakaway combined with what seemed like full occupancy, I started to regret our choice. My fears turned out to be baseless. There were 3350 ppl on board, so about 80% occupancy. There ...
