Great Cruise

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Escape

This trip was for our grandson so chose a ship with lots of amenities for kids. Cruise description said included pool table, bowling alley and arcade but there is a charge and can add up fast over a 7 day cruise. Ping pong 4 tables so you usually have to wait - no charge Basketball court great but held tournaments for over 18. A number of younger kids my grandson's age 10 but did not offer ...

As a heads-up, we were a group of 6 aged 30-45 with 2 seniors over 65 but still physically capable, all sailing May 19-26, 2019. We’ve also sailed on other cruiselines to compare (RCI, Princess, Holland America). The 2 seniors were celebrating their 50th anniversary. We're pretty casual and sensible people, but we sure know quality when we see it. I hope this lengthy review helps you out, because ...

Mediocre Experience on Escape

I traveled solo on a May cruise to Bermuda from NY and got a pretty good last minute deal on an oceanview cabin. Norwegian has a lot of programs for solo travelers especially if you get a studio room. Since I was not located in the studio section I did not get access to lounge or any of the solo activities, hence I didn't meet many people. Overall I was surprised by the amount of kids on the ...

First time with NCL, normally with RC.

We booked this cruise 4 days prior to departure based on the value. We had attempted to plan a land vacation for the following week, but the estimated cost kept us focusing on a cruise. RC did not have any close by or in our price range but we found NCL did so we booked. We became a little concerned after booking as there had clearly been some competition on the NCL customer support staff to ...

Great time in Bermuda aboard the Escape

We like the convenience of cruising out of the NY area ports. Love Freestyle Cruising on NCL. We found the Breakaway + Class ESCAPE easy to get around and full of fun activities and great entertainment. All of the places we ate at were very good except for a disastrous experience at the La Cuchina. (overcooked Veal, undercooked Tortellini, everything served cold and they dropped one Entre on ...

5/17/19 Norwegian Gem A little about us - I am 62 and my husband is 72, we have been on 60+ cruises and although I cannot remember how many specifically with NCL, enough to be Platinum. We have sailed the Jewel class before, on the Pearl, which we loved, so I was hoping for the same experience on the Gem. We were traveling with my sister-in-law (who has been on several cruises, one with NCL) ...

Gem a new ship in Boston

We take the Boston to Bermuda cruise each year around this time. This year we left on May 3, The Gem is new to Boston, and I think it is an upgrade from the Dawn. It is very similar, but It is newer with many improvements. The layout is better, there is lots of outdoor deck space, and two pools outside. The smoking room is tucked into a corner, and the smoke seems to stay inside. The champagne ...

Relaxing vacation

We chose this cruise because of the embarkation out of Boston and that we would be in Bermuda for 2 1/2 days. Both embarkation/disembarkation was slow but we expected this. The ship was clean and easy to navigate. There were many activities scheduled, although we attended few. We had the spa package which included use of the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and wonderful heated tiled chaises. We ...

My family of four was looking for a last minute cruise leaving from New York for a bit of a getaway, and Norwegian Escape 7-night to Bermuda delivered. I was impressed with the family friendly activities and amenities for kids from the adorable splash park and water slides to the kids club, all the way to mini golf and the ropes course. More specifically, watching my two young daughters explore ...
