Well my daughter and son booked the cruise months ago. My husband booked it for us a week before he passed away! My children & doctor thought it would be good for me to go and he would want me too! well everyone was right it was good for me. I felt he was there with us!

I did this cruise on the Dawn a couple years ago and had a great time. However, Norwegian seems to be cutting service on the Gem.
The boarding process seems to have improved. We spent less time standing in line and our baggage was delivered much faster than in 2017. That is where the improvements end.

Sailed the Escape last week with my wife and 8 year old daughter.
Overall a great cruise. The ship is amazing and the crew is wonderful. I can’t say enough how professional, courteous and efficient in every single aspect they are. That alone makes for a great time.

The quality of the crew, their attentiveness and professionalism was far lacking. It was apparent they did not care to be on the ship. I took this cruise as a last minute solo trip leaving from NYC as I could get a fare with no surcharge and no plane flight required.
The NCL site jerked me around on price a few times and "my" representative wasn't helpful at all. He promised to call me back after the fare doubled if there was something better (he didn't although fares dropped even lower).

1st and last time we will be sailing on Norwegian. The Escape carries at least 1000 more passengers than it really should. The ship itself is beautiful and very clean. It took a day to figure out the layout after always sailing on Royal. We liked the entertaining, food and bar layout on decks 6, 7 and 8.
