Overall a good experience. Boarding in Barcelona was a night mare as someone entitled to priority boarding it took 1 1\2 hours due to the staff for embarkation didn't get on board till 3:45 after arriving at 1:30. The cruise itself as fun although we were unable to visit Florence/Pisa as the ship was unable to dock at Livorno (high waves). The other ports were good easy to get around and connect ...
I just returned from my first cruise. My sister and I are in our 50's and traveled together on the Epic for a 7 day Mediterranean cruise. The Ship is huge, but surprisingly, we were able to find plenty of nooks and out of the way places to get away from the masses of people, even on days when we were at sea and everyone was on board. Some "quiet" places included: 1. Sundeck front of ship on ...
Good Points:
amazing food, recommend the Brazilian food, well worth the money.
very clean everywhere, staff are constantly cleaning.
Evening show- Priscilla queen of the desert was hilarious and well worth seeing.
pools were warm
Bad points:
my partner has done over 20 cruises, and found this cruise not to be up to the quality of others, as many other people on the ship also ...
The itinerary was amazing, with quality stops - not unknown 'filler' stops along the way. It was an active pace!
The ship had so many offerings of things to do while onboard. We enjoyed all the entertainment and games (and our 23-year old son said the fitness center was nice and very well-equipped). We had to carry the daily newsletter around with us to keep up with all that was going on! ...
First we got a great deal. But also we really enjoy Norwegian. Enjoy the "freestyle" environment. Part of that is eating on your own schedule, sitting where you want to. And no formal night; unless you want to. Staff were efficient and friendly. Lots of eye contact. Treated you like family not like passengers. Even the staff wearing the "stripes"were top class. The food was outstanding and chefs ...
It was our first cruise and we got hooked! We stayed in a mid-ship inside cabin which was great, spacious and very clean. The bed was soooo comfortable and the sheets were so soft! Our stateroom steward Wilfred was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. We loved the buffet, but we also tried two of the complimentary main dining rooms. We enjoyed the comedy/magician show, that ...
We arrived in Barcalona day before cruising, Loved touring the city.. We went with our 3 almost adult kids to celebrate graduation, birthday's and our anniversary. We stayed in the Haven and our butler was terriffic. Food was great. We have been on over 15 cruises through the years and this exceded our expectations.
We did hire private drivers for all excursions, which was great for the 5 of ...
I cruised with a friend from Australia (I travelled from UK) and this itinerary suited us for sightseeing in Europe. We stayed in Barcelona a great city with cheap and easy travel - even getting from the airport for eq of a euro ! ( Buy a T10 ticket at station = 10 trips for 9.99 euro - valid for airport train to Sants station and all metro and bus trips - can be used for multiple people on same ...
This was my wife and my 3rd cruise (Carnival & Royal Caribbean previously- both in the Caribbean). This trip was a late Birthday gift to my wife who wanted to cruise in the Mediterranean, following a 2 week visit to France.
We organized our own shore excursions and bought none of the pricey ship offered ones.
In general the ship appeared to be older with mediocre décor but it was easy to ...
We flew into Barcelona, Spain (the departure point for our cruise) one day prior to departure. I would recommend this, as it gave us a chance to get acclimated to the time change and rest up from our long flight.
Checking in to the ship and embarking was easy and flawless. The line was long, but moved along quickly. A souvenir photo was taken and then we went on board. The first ...
