Hi the bedrooms are so cramped ! my ankles where hanging over the edge ! you couldn't pass each other in the bedroom ! There was a smell on deck 8 near the lifts ! not good! The entertainment in the bar was terrible! could not hear them. and if you did they sounded awful ! lots of complaining !! they are the ones who bring people into the bar aren't they! Most of staff could speak English ...

This is a classy and beautiful ship with a modern twist and a fun vive with so much to do that you will never be out of options. This was my first time on NCL and I was pleasantly surprised and it is one that is now very high on my list of favourites. This is a large resort ship one of the biggest but strangely is did not feel too big to me, seemed smaller then some other ships like Regal ...

Good times, good times

Love this cruise and hope to do it again. I selected this cruise for the itinerary. Plenty to do in every port. Upon boarding I was surprised by the condition of my cabin. I shared an inside cabin and thought it may be clustrophobic, but I was very comfortable with the layout and furnishings. The whole ship was modern, clean and beautiful. This was my first NCL cruise. Great food around the ...

Western Med on the NCL Epic

First, anyone thinking about this cruise should know that this cruise embarks/disembarks at both Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome). About 3/4 of the passengers use Barcelona and the remainder use Civitavecchia. I would recommend staying in Rome ahead of time and boarding in Rome. Civitavecchia is a distance from Rome, so if you embark in Barcelona, expect a long ride to go see the ...

Entertainment and dining (both service and food) excellent, cabin poor

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

The cruise was a mix or excellent and very poor. The embarkation was fast and efficient The dining (both food and service) in the main dining rooms, Taste and Manhatten were surprisingly excellent. The food in the buffet was very good. The entertainment was excellent if a bit controversial. The cabin and its housekeeping staff were unbelievably poor. There was a shower and wc but a wash ...

Great crew, good ship

Other peoples reviews are accurate. The ship is very good with a wide range of facilities, but it is the crew which make the experience excellent and cope with 4000 passengers very well. Embarkation was a bit slow as most passengers did not speak Spanish and some check in staff struggled with English. But when it came to day trips and disembarkation every thing went very smoothly. The food in ...

Poor stateroom maintenance and rude crew members

Our son and family chose Epic because it fit their summer schedule and offered for us to join then, which we did. We have cruised 9 times previously and never experienced anywhere near these problems. Our Stateroom required four service calls for maintenance issues safe (2), air conditioning , and leaking sink Rude Pool towel room attendant, as was starboard upper crew member assigned ...

Great Ship

Overall a great experience, best of all was the Epic Beatles, and all the entertainment onboard. Make sure you do not miss the shows. The only con about the vessel I found is that I had to change my dining habits or I'd miss the entertainment onboard. Cabin was wonderful, for us the bathroom worked great, there is no lack of intimacy and 2 or more people can use it at the same time as the ...

Good overall

Overall a good experience. Boarding in Barcelona was a night mare as someone entitled to priority boarding it took 1 1\2 hours due to the staff for embarkation didn't get on board till 3:45 after arriving at 1:30. The cruise itself as fun although we were unable to visit Florence/Pisa as the ship was unable to dock at Livorno (high waves). The other ports were good easy to get around and connect ...

Huge ship, but plenty of nooks for privacy when you want it.

I just returned from my first cruise. My sister and I are in our 50's and traveled together on the Epic for a 7 day Mediterranean cruise. The Ship is huge, but surprisingly, we were able to find plenty of nooks and out of the way places to get away from the masses of people, even on days when we were at sea and everyone was on board. Some "quiet" places included: 1. Sundeck front of ship on ...
