Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This is the first time we chose this cruise ship, no previous experience, on the other hand, we have been in cruise for many times with various cruise lines. As soon as we board the ship, the first impression was bad, our luggage did not arrive at our state room but being left 200 ft away. Secondly , a woman's bra was left in our state room, this caused us very uncomfortable. In one buffet ...

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary along with another couple celebrating their honeymoon. We have wanted to do a Mediterranean cruise for some time. We selected NCL because the itinerary closely matched where we wanted to go. They gave us a great deal with free onboard dining at specialty restaurants and free taxes and port charges plus a free all inclusive beverage package. The ...

We did this cruise last year in October and inquired about availability of getting married on board. NCL do a great job with special occasions and our co-ordinator Luis was an absolute diamond. Firstly when arriving at Barcelona port and getting aboard the process was so smooth and we had been kidding our grandchildren that we would be able to board before they actually did as we had cruised with ...

The Epic is not Epic

We booked last minute (1 month out) because we were going to be in Europe and the dates fit when we could go. The itinerary was good, especially Naples and Cannes. But the ship was just OK. It's big but there didn't seem to be many more options than on the mid-size ships. The spaces were just larger. The layout of the ship is strange and we frequently found ourselves walking through the ...

Adventure Filled Itinerary But Seriously Overbooked Ship

I just sailed on the Norwegian EPIC departing Barcelona Spain on August 6, 2017. There are so many good things to say but I am going to start with the bad and just get them out of the way. First of all, the EPIC boasts a passenger capacity of 4100. Throughout the cruise, we were told that there were in excess of 5000 passengers on board. This information was repeated throughout the week from ...

A scaled up cruise ship, without scaled up complimentary amenities

This was my third NCL cruise in as many years, on the third class of ship - Epic being by far the biggest of the three (Jade and Star being the other two)....and that, frankly, was the key issue - and this was a concern amongst MANY of my fellow NCL passengers cruising on Epic for the first time. The 'smaller' ships (if a 2000+ pax ship can be called small) all have the excellent NCL range of ...

First cruise. Relaxing and enjoyable.

My husband and I booked this cruise for our 35th wedding anniversary. My husband had been on a cruise many years ago and enjoyed it, but I had been skeptical due to food poisoning reports on other ships and I wasn't sure if I would get sea sick. Once on the ship, we were immediately greeted by our steward who already knew who we were and called us by name. He changed our sheets each day, made sure ...

Extra cost for everything.

We have been on several cruise lines before and wanted to try Norwegian Epic with a higher standard than what we had travelled with before. The cabin was ok. The ship was surprisingly crowded and it was very noisy inside the restaurants. Every thing costs extra. If you want coffee in your room in the morning, you have to pay 5,5 dollars to get water first. If you want a beer on deck? 8,5 ...

Good but lots of overpricing within their packages/tours makes it feel pricey

We chose this through Diamond Resorts (Timeshare). We have previously cruised with P&O a few times. We found the entertainment about the best we've seen onboard and, whilst still very good, we found things not as good as our experience with P&O. Food good, but not as good as we've had, quality of service/waiting staff again not as good as we've known but it wasn't bad. The pricing for ...

Never go sailing with Norwegian again

This was our second trip to Europe which starting from Sweden, this time I was traveling with my sister. We traveled 3 weeks prior to sailing the NCL EPIC from Barcelona. We had $60 onboard credit that the travel agent told us could be used onboard. We ordered 12 bottles of water and 2 cans of soft drinks from the minibar. Their customer service on board also confirmed we could use our onboard ...
