Excellent time onboard

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This was our second time sailing on the Epic. This time we went on the Mediterranean, sailing from Barcelona. Embarkation in Barcelona was incredibly well organised, and ran smoothly. Far smoother that our last cruise, which left from Miami. The thing we love best about Norwegian, is the freedom that they give you as a customer. We always had plenty of things to do, and plenty of places to eat. ...

Full disclosure, this was the first cruise for both my boyfriend and myself. We are a young couple in our 20s from Canada who found this cruise at the right price just 2 months before sailing. The itinerary was ideal, which is what drew us to the cruise in the first place. We were not dissapointed! The boat is massive meaning there is so much to see and do. Also, seeing as it was the first cruise ...

Never again

See notes on cabin written elsewhere. Pitiful shore excursions that cost big money. For example, on excursion to the Amalfi Coast, lunch consisted of a quarter of one chicken breast that had been sliced horizontally, about 8 thin slices of carrot and six small round potatoes. The chicken was dry. In fact, everything was tasteless...IN ITALY no less. To top it off, the waiter was outright ...

One of the best cruises my husband and I had so far

Heard negative comments about sailing in big cruise ships but with Norwegian Epic, all we had were wonderful and memorable experience celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary. We never had any problem with embarkation and disembarkation because they are very organized despite having a large number of passengers. We visited Munich, Germany for 3 days, flew to Madrid, Spain and stayed for another 3 ...

Everything was very OK

We were excited for all of the ports this Med Cruise had to offer. We have traveled on NCL in the past but it has been a few years. We found the ports to be great and the ship to be very OK. We did receive a quick reminder that NCL will nickel and dime you at every turn. EVERYTHING costs extra! Freestyle cruising? Not really other than that you don't need a reservation in the main dining rooms. We ...

We (3 adults, ages 28-67) chose this cruise for the ports, our 1st trip to Europe in a Mini-Suite, midship, port side 10th floor near the front elevators. The cabin location was perfect. Always docked on the port side, beautiful views as we docked or left ports. We had ample space, storage, comfortable beds and sofa-bed for the 3rd person. The bathroom configuration did not bother us, there is a ...

We spent an extra day in Barcelona both before and after the cruise, it was well worth it. We took "Free Walking Tours" gothic area tour before the cruise and it was great. "Barcelona Day Tours" picked us and our luggage up after the cruise; we saw Park Guell, a Gaudi house and the outside of Sagrada Familia, then they dropped us off at the hotel. Another great tour. Our fav restaurant was Guell ...

This was our first European Cruise but our 10th Norwegian cruise and our 4th suite stay. Epic Haven area needs some attention our cabin had missing wood molding the drawers in the bathroom were broken. The 2nd shower door was broken and my husband fixed it after asking steward for assistance. I know people are gonna read this and say something but as much as you pay for a two bedroom haven cabin, ...

Great First Time Cruise Experience

This was my first cruise, although my partner has cruised before. Chose the Epic, as it’s mid sized, and had the varied facilities we were looking for. Embarkation and disembarkation were remarkably smooth. Crew were excellent. We liked the variety of restaurants on board, as a foodie, but also a pescatarian, I found them to be to a high standard. Although we were rather disappointed with the ...
