Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We booked this cruise for the itinerary it was on and the water slides for my daughter and I. She was so busy, we never went down them. Sad While the ship is huge, we never really felt crowded except at the buffet on the first afternoon. As for the food, it was ok nothing special. Keep in mind, when in the Mediterranean, European Beef is not the same as American beef. A bit more gamy. ...

We chose this cruise mainly because it was transportation to the ports we wanted to visit. We departed out of Barcelona and I would recommend time either before or after the cruise to explore this fabulous city. My husband and daughter both got very ill on this ship. In fact, there was at least one person from every party I spoke with who bacame very ill. The second day (day at sea) I pulled a ...

7 day Western Mediterranean cruise

I took the identical 7 day Western Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona in May of 2015 and again 3 years later in May of 2018. First of all the food: The Garden Café did not have plates of smoked salmon offered at breakfast like it did in 2015. I remember piling unlimited amounts of it on my plate for breakfast each morning. There was basically no salmon at all, just some tiny chopped pieces of ...

Barcelona This was our first cruise ever and it was a great trip. We flew into Barcelona two days early so we could readjust to the time zone and get a chance to explore. Impressions of the airport weren’t great, but we were only there on our way out the door. When we travel we go carry-on for anything up to 15 days, so we didn’t have to wait at the chaotic baggage claim. Taxis are very ...

Selected this cruise as we were taking the family for their first cruise experience, we were keen to have a cruise that was fun rather then formal and the ship was billed as a "fun ship". The cabins were fine and the ship overall was clean. We found the self service restaurant area good with plenty of choice and comfortable seating both inside and out, the tables were cleaned effciently and ...

Worst cruise I have ever been on.

My partner and I was on the Norwegian Epic sailing from Barcelona on Sunday 27th March. I have to say that this was the worst cruise I have ever been on in my life. On the first day I entered my Cabin to get changed, while getting changed I trod on a sewing needle, which was located on the cabin floor. Surely if the cabin had been hoovered the needle would have been picked up very easily, ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. This was my first and last time on NCL! We are seasoned cruisers and never had issues on previous trips. Trip was fantastic based on the the ports of call, excursions we took and friends we made on the ship. Ship however, after coming out of dry dock we had high expectations that the ship would be in top notch condition. That shortly proved to be wrong. ...

Loved freestyle cruising. The restaurants and food were great. We could go anytime and that worked best for us. We also chose this cruise for the length and ports we visited. Loved the food and beverage packages. They were plenty of restaurants to choose from, with good variety of menus. The desserts were wonderful. There were problems on boarding day. The boat had just come out of dry dock, ...

Great itinerary, good ship

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Star

We specifically picked this cruise (15th overall) because of the itinerary and we were NOT disappointed. We knew we would basically be using the ship to have dinner, shower and sleep. That said, do NOT select an act 8 deck cabin above the Bliss lounge. Music thumping into the storeroom every night until 1:30 AM! Dining service was great with nice variety of food and friendly servers. Ship does not ...

Itinerary was great, ship was just ok

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Star

I picked this cruise because of the itinerary. It was my first time sailing Norwegian and only my 4th cruise. Embarkation day in Barcelona was horrible. We arrived at 1pm and the line was all the way down the street. There was no shade and no water. We finally made it on board about 430. They were still loading luggage onto the ship at 6 which was suppose to be our departure time. The Star has ...
