TYPICAL LARGE SHIP CRUISE

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This cruise was chosen because of the ports of call, available time for our group. We have cruised frequently and found the Epic to be typical of large ships. Epic had the smallest cabins I've ever encountered and the arrangement of the 'facilities' was very unique. Shower on one side was about the size of a telephone booth. Toilet on other side was adequate and sink was in the room which was ...

Great cruise for the money. The food was good but they could’ve mixed it up in the restaurants a bit more. I sort of felt like I ate the same meal over and over again. Enjoyed the garden cafe. I was disappointed there was a service charge for the water I preordered online. Youth activities were awesome and so was the staff. My son played soccer most of the time. Our cabin was tight by that’s to be ...

Me and my girl friend got very good package on this cruise, we were on 7 days west Mediterranean cruise departed from Barcelona. This package included 2 nights hotel in Barcelona, 1 day hop on hop off bus pass, transportation from hotel to port and 3 Specialty Dinning on board. We tried Le Bistro French cusine, Cagney's Steakhouse and Moderno Churrascaria, all the Specialty dinner was fantastic. ...

Our cruise on the Epic was ok. Cabin was not very clean on entry. Old dirty underwear in closet on life vest, upholstery was dirty on sofa bed. I wasnt a fan of the bath area. If someone was dressing or showering no one else could leave the room. Food was marginal. We tried O’Sheehans, Shanghai, Taste, Manhattan, and Garden cafe. Eating healthy with fresh veggie dishes was not easy. Sushi was ...

I literally just walked into my house after flying back from this cruise. I booked one of the studio cabins on the Norwegian Epic which sailed out of Barcelona on June 10, 2018. The studio cabin is adorable. It is small, but effective. I got great naps when my cabin steward wasn't basically yelling at me through the door every 15 minutes so he could clean up my room and clock out. For the ...

This was my 4th time on the Epic and everytime I left the Epic previouosly, I said, never again! But I returned and boy was I happy that I did! Embarkation was very very smooth. I arrived at 10.45am and there was no waiting at all. Quick and easy. I had priority check-in and embarkation, but there were not too many people at the regular check-in desks either. Came on board and went for lunch ...

I took the 7 day Western Mediterranean from Barcelona, and after spending 2 days in Barcelona I didn’t want to leave! However as soon as I got on the ship I was in total awe! Yes it’s massive but give that 2 days and you’ll navigate just fine! As a solo traveller I was in the studio cabins and I was super happy with my room and the solo lounge. Our coordinator Ruby did a great job of bringing us ...

We were looking for a European cruise in a tight time window that would not break the bank, with good itinerary and decent onboard amenities. We had cruised largely on Celebrity (most recently, though, on the Paul Gauguin in French Polynesia), with only prior NCL sailing on Pride of America in 2009. The Norwegian Epic did not disappoint, but we continue to prefer Celebrity. A few important ...

OVERALL Beautiful and historic destinations, ugly on the outside but nice on the inside ship, good people, great way to see the area for first-time visitors BACKGROUND This was the first trip to Europe for myself, my wife, and our teenage daughter. We've been on a number of cruises with Carnival and Princess, but this was our first Norwegian cruise. We arrived early in Barcelona and ...

Very good cruise

Prior to our cruise I had read a lot of negative and indifferent reviews of the Epic, and we were pleasantly relieved to find we really enjoyed the cruise and the ship. It is a big ship, and does take a day or two to orientate yourself - and some of the little helpful things are not explained - such as the lift buttons and passage carpets being colour coded for port and starboard - so you have ...
