Worst NCL cruise ever!!!!

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We have sailed over 20 NCL cruises in the past and were looking forward to seeing this part of the world for the first time. Our prior NCL experiences gave us confidence that this would be a good cruise- boy, were we wrong!! Beginning with a slow and painful embarkation process, a 5 hour wait to get in our room (just to find it had not been cleaned from previous guests—bed made but hair in ...

EXCELLENT in many respects

SHIP: the Prima has many excellent points, but some cons. Firstly, the ship is large and beautiful and has many activities; unfortunately, there is a problem when you can't go outside because the weather is "Delta Sierra". Many of the venues are small and become hugely overcrowded and I'm not sure that they were built for the number of passengers on board. The state rooms are OUTSTANDING, large ...

Iceland Norway Cruise

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We just returned from the 10-Day Iceland & Norway cruise. As with any cruise, there are positives and negatives. Unfortunately, the negatives exceeded the positives on this trip. Embarkation was awful. Waiting outside on a cold and windy day was not a pleasant experience. Getting through security took well over an hour. As we boarded we were given a paper which stated that 2 out of the 3 ports ...

Not Overly Impressed

This was our first post-covid cruise, and only our second with Norwegian. The first was way back in August of 2003 on the Norwegian Star on the 7-day Hawaii. My wife and I were overly excited since we were finally going on a real vacation since 2019 when we spent a week in London and three weeks in Italy. We were also looking forward to sailing on the Prima since it was only six months old. I ...

Was excited about the itinerary but they canceled two ports. Heard different reasons why but weather seemed to be for one and the other was port depth. Do your homework Norwegian before adding it to the itinerary. Previous cruise was offered compensation. We were not Check in was a joke with 2-3 hours of people standing in the rain. No separate check in for Haven folks. Bags delivered ...

Worst Ship Design Ever Imagined

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We chose this cruise as a bookend to our time in Iceland. Without going on and on, the design of the ship is so chopped up that there is inadequate seating in all common areas. The chopped up approach was to allow for segregated rooms/amenities for "The Haven" customers, the Vibe for Beach Club members, the Galaxy Pavilion, the Speedway, and many more things that were there for one reason....to ...

As a group of friends that have cruised more than 20 times with multiple companies in multiple countries I can say without a doubt that I have never booked with a cruise line company that is so against helping their customers we had some bad weather during our trip which is understandable that we missed a port here or there but when you are going to be in Port less than 2 hours from your flight ...

Prima to Iceland Perfect Trip

Love cruising out of New York City. We are not loyal to any one cruise line and have cruised over 17 times. We booked an Inside cabin and was upgraded to a Balcony as our Inside room was next to a utility room that was very noisy during the evening hours. The staff was wonderful about addressing this problem. We received a tray of chocolates for the inconvenience also. The rooms were both ...

Total Disappointment

One of the destinations on my bucket list was Iceland. The package offered, including airfare was enticing. Even though NCL supposedly arranged the tickets in June 2022, I couldn't get definite details until the cruise was paid in full. They booked Jet Blue for the outgoing flight and Icelandair /Jet Blue for the return. I'll get into more details about that fiasco later. Once at the port ...

Enjoyable Repositioning Cruise Despite Missing 2 Ports

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

My husband and I booked this cruise over a year ago, particularly excited about the Prima being a new innovative, slightly smaller ship, bucking the current bigger-is-better trend in cruise ship builds. A transatlantic cruise would be a first for us, as well as our first visit to Iceland, including 3 ports - a day each in Akureyri, Isafjordur and an overnight in Reykjavik. Perhaps the biggest deal ...
