We were looking for a cruise to sail through ports on the Baltic Sea and thought we had found a good deal through NCL. How wrong we were.
We thought this was going to be a great cruise but were sadly disappointed and now regret our next cruise with NCL. If we had known now how terrible the food and entertainment was going to be, we would not have booked our Alaskan cruise with NCL.

We are a couple in our 60s that originally chose this cruise as part of a group our travel agent organizes. We liked the itinerary and decided to do an extensive tour of the UK and Ireland afterwards. We utilized NCL flights because of their 2-for-1 airfare deal. We stayed in a balcony cabin on the 11th deck.
When we booked this cruise, we also booked a Caribbean cruise on the Prima as a way ...
We chose the Norwegian Prima as our summer vacation due the itinerary. The fact that is was a new ship was a wonderful bonus! We had an incredible time on our ten night cruise! We booked in September of 2022 (before the ship set sail) and are happy we did not read reviews prior to our trip. I am saddened to see the number of people who didn’t enjoy their cruise as much as we did. We have been ...
I booked two weeks out and got a great price on an Oceanview cabin, plus "won" an upgrade to a balcony. The balcony was a disappointment, instead of a nice large porthole view and I was given an ADA balcony, with a shower I don't fit underneath (at 6'1"), no sofa, and a balcony with a very obscured view by the slides and overlooked by neighbours in The Haven. It was not at all worth the upgrade ...
For us, itineraries are vitally important whether we intend to book on a cruise or not and this cruise delivered an itinerary that was attractive to us. NCL has definitely departed from their norm with the Prima class ships for the good or bad of it depending on what you prefer. The Prima class is the new hotness, and the line definitely wants you to experience it. It presents a blend of ...
Our first port in Iceland was cancelled a few days before the cruise. We also paid for the haven, but had no separate check in or exit for ports like usual. The people not in the haven look extremely crowded and miserable. Food has been mediocre at best. We have tried most of the restaurants and have not been impressed once. Terrible for an active 15 year old. He will be 16 years old in a ...
The itinerary was what drew us to this cruise and we took my mom with us so we could spend time in England after the cruise visiting her brother and sister and their families. In reading previous reviews of the Prima class, it sounded like people didn't like the layout compared to previous generations of NCL ships and I agree. The layout was odd with no easy way to get around (unless you're also ...
We usually sail with HAL, but the interesting NCL itinerary prompted us to pick Norwegian for the first time. It is safe to say that we will hurry back to HAL. Unlike HAL, where we were always made to feel like honored guests (even in the cheapest inside cabin), you were treated like an anonymous number on the Norwegian Dawn. At times, the service was not only indifferent but downright rude. Upon ...
We felt a cruise would be a great way to visit the European cities along the Baltic Sea. We understood the Dawn to be an older ship, but found it well taken care of. The food (mostly buffet) was consistently very good at each meal. The staff (specifically our room steward) were very attentive in all of their interactions with those on board.
Additionally, the entertainment was beyond what we ...
Went on the Baltic cruise in June of 23 with two teenage grandsons. This was my third NCL cruise and 7th overall. There were several minor problems like a piece of luggage lost for 1 1/2 days, a long and disorganized wait for Teppanaki (food wasn't worth the wait), long lines at the buffet for lunches (main restaurants were closed for lunch), not being able to get a table at the buffet, bad food ...
