This is our 2nd NCL cruise and have been greatly satisfied with both cruises. Was looking to visit Key West on our own but when we saw this cruise went there, we booked this. The value for this trip is amazing. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. especially since you leave on a Friday and come back on a Wednesday avoiding the weekend traffic. The ship is a smaller ship but it is ...

The staff on the sky are amazing. I don't know if it's because it is a smaller ship or because we always tip if we are brought our drinks but after the first day they remembered my husband's and my name. We ate in the main dining room most evening and the food was what we expected. Nothing really wowed me but it was a decent meal. I love how they redid the bliss lounge, such a comfortable area to ...

Second voyage on the Breakaway

We are long-term Norwegian cruisers, so the cruise line and this particular ship are familiar to us. We did a Transatlantic crossing on the Breakaway previously and wanted a winter break on it, to try snorkeling in the Caribbean. This was the first time we used the 'inclusive airfare' package. The flight down on the day of departure worked smoothly, but with little room for error. Prior to ...

I traveled with Norwegian several times however, this was the first time with Breakaway. I was very pleased. This time I ordered an inside room as those tend to be quiet. I was decompressing from the holidays!! Sunshine : Deck 8 provides multiple seated areas "mostly shaded" for drinks, reading or just observing the ocean. Mornings had a coffee station for early risers as well as ...

Best Cruise!

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one given all the negativity on here. Prior to leaving I was getting a little nervous regarding comments about NCL in general. Overall the cruise was amazing ! We missed one port and had rough seas one day.... that is not the fault of NCL and I cant understand people who write negative reviews about that. We enjoyed the extra sea day ...

Just average in many ways, and below average in others

We chose this cruise because of the ports and shore excursions available. The ship was clean and up to date. Boarding was easy, but disembarking was a strenuous, roundabout, convoluted hike, aft to forward through the barricades, to the outside deck, and back to aft again. We felt the overall layout was more efficient and people friendly than the Epic. The food was good, but again, not ...

My mom booked this cruise almost a year ago so you could imagine the anticipation we had to go on this big ship. We normally cruise with Carnival so we thought this would be a good "upgrade". I knew because we sailed in January that there would be more older people than younger but daaaamn ! Most activities and shows were aimed more towards the older crowd which I can understand but at least ...

NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY WESTERN CARIBBEAN JANUARY 2020

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

BEWARE: Extremely overcrowded!!! We chose this cruise because of the extra perks with the purchase of cruise. The extra perks were: Open Bar (all drinks included); 250 Wi-fi minutes; free specialty dining meals. The embarkation from Port Canaveral was smooth, the disembarkation was a nightmare extremely disorganized. Cabin and cabin steward were excellent, as well as, most other ...
