Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Encore

We were excited to try this new cruise ship. Everything went great on check in and getting to our room. Very efficient process for such a large ship. We got to our room and I use a CPAP and looked for a plug beside our bed. The closest outlet was across the room and guess what, my electrical cord did not reach across the room. (BAD DESIGN). I asked our stewart what was up? He apologized and ...

We cruised on the Norwegian Bliss February 2-16, 2020. It is a beautiful ship, very ornate and modern. Our cabin had plenty of room for the both of us and the balcony was wonderful. The food in the buffet was delicious and plentiful. There is definitely something for everyone The specialty dining was wonderful. We are at Los Kobos, La Cucina, Teppynaki (twice), and Cagney's. It was a ...

Embarkation - It was a breeze. The only issue I had was we got off at Building A when we should have gone to Building C. The process was very quick through security. The lines were a little confusing because they had two entrances to the same place in line. We arrived around 12:45 pm. The whole process took us 15 minutes. As soon as we got on board they make sure to spray your hands with ...

Beautiful new ship designed for family with children

We chose this cruise because it was a new ship and we love cruising and have had great experiences with Norwegian. We love freestyle and being able to eat when we want and where we want. However, in light of all of the new family themed additions to this ship like the speedway, the kids waterpark, laser tag, and the regular water slides, it was almost impossible to find a deck chair anywhere near ...

This was our 39 th cruise, 8th NCL, 6 th Haven. I read the reviews before booking and didn’t have high expectations however I did expect more being in the Haven. Let me start by saying when arriving at the port there were no Haven reps so we got in the very long security line while my husband went up to find someone to ask, about 15 mins later he came and got us and a guy took us through the ...

Bliss? You've gotta be kidding!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

We chose this cruise because we have cruised the eastern Caribbean many times with P & O, flying directly to Barbados. Cruising from NYC to the Western Caribbean offered something different, with a different cruise line and a very different demographic on board. The Bliss is a lovely ship but, as others have noted, there are simply too many people for the on-board facilities. Rather than ...

To start I have sailed with Norwegian 7 previous times on boats like epic getaway and breakaway. I have always loved them and hence bought into The cruise next which is a program that if you give them money to book again they give you some extra money. I would never sail on the encore again. I will start out saying the room and employees were good and that was not my issue We booked everything ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This was first time on Norwegian, maybe 9th cruise all in all. We had a 7 day cruise stopping in Great Stirrup Cay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Sadly, we skipped Great Stirrup Cay, which I found out happens on a regular basis. I do understand the wind and waves are out of the control of Norwegian, but it seems to happen way too much. Another passenger on the ship said the last three times ...

The Breakaway – Near Perfect Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This was our second cruise on NCL’s Breakaway (in a row) and our fifth on the Breakaway Class. So, obviously we must like something about these ships. Happy to say – through smart cruising – we had a near perfect cruise experience for my birthday cruise earlier this month. I’ve grouped the key topics below, for easy read and finding: Embarkation/Disembarkation (Port Canaveral) – We ...

Random thoughts on our cruise – this is longer that I expected! I had a great time with my two sisters on our annual cruise. Yes This was my first NCL cruise and they had both cruised NCL once a number of years ago. I’ve cruised mostly on Royal, but also have done Carnival, Celebrity and Princess. We were in room 11639- Inside Cabin. Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll do my best to ...
