Plenty of room in this cabin. Lots of storage, including under bed for luggage. Bed is located next to door, so fresh air is nice to have. It is a perfect location in the middle of the ship. Breakfast at the cafe is one way, the spa is the other. Quiet room as well. Good choice. Read entire member review >>
Nothing negative about the room. it is a great room clear views from the balcony. Everything worked in the room. I wished the room safe could fit a laptop but no dealbreaker there. Shower had plenty of hot water. Sound no problem there. Did not feel any of ship movement. Read entire member review >>
For the Breakaway, this is a standard 2 or 3 person stateroom with a balcony - starboard side.
Our steward had just returned from a break, so he seemed a little unorganized the first 2 days, but took care of our room very well.
The shower drain was not draining well and did result in the bathroom floor having a mild flood one time. We informed the steward on the 3rd day of the cruise, and it was fixed 2 days later. My recommendation is that if you notice a slight problem with the drains on day 1, let your steward know immediately so it can be addressed as soon as possible.
We really didn't spend time in the room too much except for sleeping. It met our needs.
The room was in the middle of the hallway and we used the back stairs of the ship mostly. So, the hallways were quiet and still not too far away from getting to the elevators and stairwell. Read entire member review >>
No drawers! Why? This was a 2-week cruise and even with only 2 in the room there was barely enough shelf space. The closet though was ample with plenty of hangers. Room steward was very good. Beds were so-so comfy and the pillows sucked - one hard and one soft. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was very good. Tons of shelf space in the bathroom. I was totally impressed by this. The balcony is tiny but good enough for 2 people to sit. Cabin is bright and clean. Read entire member review >>
This cabin configuration has the sofa nearest to the closet. I think if the bed were closest we would have had trouble accessing our belongings. The balcony was sufficient for the two chairs and the small table, but you can't stretch out your legs comfortably. You have the cover of a restaurant below that extends from your floor, but it doesn't distract from your view other than you can't look down directly into the water. The balcony door has a decent seal, but sometimes there is section of the gasket that could be tighter depending on how you close it. If you jam a tissue in there it is fine. I found the bed to be very comfortable! The air conditioning/heat blows directly on the bed, so it can feel a bit drafty during the night. Read entire member review >>
The cabin itself was OK but the cabin service was far from stellar. There was no way to contact the steward without physically looking for him. The phone number on his card that was in the room didn't work, and if you pressed the housekeeping key on the room phone, it always said he was out and did not allow you to leave a voicemail. Very clean cabin, plenty of storage. Loved sitting on the balcony. Didn't have to wait long to get hot water in the bathroom/shower. More television channels would be nice and they should offer free wifi. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was clean and always freshly taken care of. We had one of the slanted balconies that has a lot more room than the regular balconies. I have noticed that on the larger ships, the balconies (except for the one that we had) feel a lot smaller then on the Jewel class ships. The square footage may not be so drastic but the regular balconies on the Breakaway are very tight for two people to sit out on. Read entire member review >>
The room was quite acceptable with no real complaint. Was showing the beginning of wear and tear. Clean and our steward did a great job!
I will make this semi important recommendation...Balconies on deck 9 CAN be just above the life boats. You really don't want this as part of you ocean view will be the roof over the lifeboats. Get you balcony room deck 10 and above. Read entire member review >>
Nice cabin. Great steward. The only drawback was poor ventilation in the bathroom. The towels would never dry, and we couldn't use them for more than a couple days. TV was horrible, and given the weather that was an issue. Read entire member review >>
Good size cabin, very small balcony, no drawers, closet too close to bed. Bathroom good size, lots of storage. Room was never clean until one o'clock and nine at night. Friends on another floor had no problem getting their room cleaned early. Great cabin Stewart's. Not a fan of their light system but got used to it. Read entire member review >>
We only paid for an outside cabin, but because that category was already full, they upgraded us to a balcony, located on the 13th floor, because we picked the GTY ( run of the ship)! Read entire member review >>
Of course it's small, but it was fine. Closet with all kinds of shelves, drawers under the couch, it was absolutely fine. Carpet may need to be replaced before next season. Read entire member review >>
Nice cabin, small balcony and little table with two chairs. Didnt like the idea about keeping a card in the slot for the lights and air. It was always warm when we came into the cabin. I would book this cabin again nice location. Read entire member review >>
The cabin we had was a mid-ship balcony (category BA) on deck 13. Was noticeably smaller than the equivalent cabin we had on Quantum of the Seas last year. A few inches here and there really made a difference between the bed and closet, and in the transporter capsule they call a shower. Read entire member review >>
Great cabin. Our attendant RJ was great. A little confusing with having to put your key in the slot to get electric on which hinders charging your cameras or phones. Plenty of storage and roomy bathroom. Plenty of hangars. Balcony small but manageable. Beds were comfy. All in all a great room. Just right for two people. Read entire member review >>
This room has an angled balcony, making it about 30% larger than regular balcony rooms. It also means that you can see (and be seen by) other rooms further up on the ship if you're sitting by the part that juts out. The room itself has loads of storage space and had more than enough space for the two of us. It is very close to the stairs and elevator but external sound was only an issue with extremely loud groups. Read entire member review >>
Nice Cabin. Sleeps 4. Lots of hidden space for storage. Bathroom seemed roomy. Balcony seemed a tad smaller than other ships I have sailed. Comfortable. No intrusive noises from shipboard activity. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was very nice. I would choose one with the bed next to the balcony next time for easier access to the closet. I did not find any drawers which I thought was unusual, but I did use the larger drawer under the couch which held all of my clothing other than what I hung in the closet and my husband used the shelves in the closet. We were able to store both suitcases (one large and one medium sized one) under the bed. Our cabin steward was available and we saw him several times a day. Read entire member review >>
My cabin was great. I travelled with my sister and there was more than enough room for the two of us. Our balcony was also roomy enough for us. We had room to sit and also had a small table if we needed it. Our cabin was always neat and clean and our cabin steward Gilbert was very accommodating and always available if we requested anything that we may have needed. Read entire member review >>
Typical balcony room, maybe a little smaller but not noticeable. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was a good size and plenty of storage. Very quiet, hardly had any noise, nothing above or below. Read entire member review >>
Average size but balcony was smaller compared to other cruise lines. Great service and steward was attentive. Sofa bed was broken...drawers underneath did not open properly. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was nice. Our steward, Remi, was very attentive. Only complaints - air conditioning didn't stay on all night and balcony VERY small. We barely had room to put our legs. Read entire member review >>
Very spacious with tons of storage! We were very comfortable all week long. Some other passengers mentioned that the size of the balconies were too small. We did not find that at all. There was plenty of room for the two chairs and small table and two people to sit comfortably. Our steward was great and he kept everything super clean. There was a problem with the speaker on our TV - nothing major, but it sounded as though one speaker was starting to go - there was a crackling noise. Hopefully they check those things and correct that for the next passengers. Overall, super cabin and very happy with the whole experience. Read entire member review >>
We had a larger cabin that was well appointed. Came with a tub and two sinks. Bed was near closet vs balcony...I like the bed near the balcony...allows for better access to closet. Plus you can hear the waves breaking with the door open at night. Small tv Read entire member review >>
Tuesday we arrived in cape Canaveral...gorgeous day, sunny. I decided to rent a car, great idea. Went to manatee park and then Cocoa beach. You can rent chairs on beach. On way back to ship, stopped and picked up bottled water. Car rental cheap 50.00 for the day. Read entire member review >>
The cabins aboard the ships are beautifully designed.... the shower herads were nice, the closet space plentiful for a short voyage, and the room attendant attentive. Very nice. Read entire member review >>
This was our stateroom for the cruise to nowhere. It was spacious but could have been little bit larger, The stateroom was always clean. Our steward did good job to keep it looking clean. Read entire member review >>
Stateroom:--We had a balcony room. Absolutely lovely. SO MUCH STORAGE SPACE!! Those Norwegians know how to create space. There are actually draws under the couch if you need the space. The mini fridge is in a cabinet but was locked for us for some reason. We didn't inquire. Don't know if that's normal or not. But it was nice to have one if needed.-The room is quite spacious. Nice bed. Fun to have a balcony. Although cold, I stood out on the balcony and watched the sun rise. It was so beautiful. Quite a different perspective.-The bathroom was lovely. Again, TONS of storage space. Only negative was the water pressure from the shower. Oh well....at least it was hot when I wanted it to be.-The rooms were fairly quiet. Seemed like you could hear more of what was going on above than in the rooms next door. I brought a fan with me to create a little white noise. I would probably bring earplugs next time too. Our balcony stateroom was small, but adequate. There are NO amenities in the room. No basket of toiletries, no robes, getting pool/ beach towels replaced took tracking down the room steward 3 times, again, just not what we are accustomed to. And our balcony? It was barely large enough to accommodate the two of us standing, plus the upright chairs that were there. No lounges. Nothing. Read entire member review >>
The room was a decent size for the four of us. We camp in a tow-trailer so we are no strangers to tight quarters. The shower was wonderful and adjustable to my short 5-year old. The bathroom stank a tiny bit and I'm not sure if it was the soap or the sewage, but air freshener worked well here. I had no problem with storage but I do prefer drawers over closet shelves. We had an angled balcony which was plenty of space. The beds were heavenly! We brought a power strip and an extension cord for all our electronics, too. The fourth bed drops from the ceiling above the sofa bed. Our steward pushed it half-way back up every day so we would be able to use the sofa during the day. Read entire member review >>
No complaints. Room size was comfortable with adequate closet and shelves space. Yes there was drawer space under the TV console. Saw so many reviews that stated differently. All of our suitcases easily fit under the bed. Bathroom was large enough and the shower was fantastic with good water pressure. We enjoyed sleeping with the balcony door open to take advantage of the clean fresh salt air and we had noise from the bars on level 8 in the evening, so next cruise we will book a balcony on the opposite side. Problem solved. Read entire member review >>
I was travelling alone and my cabin was perfect for me.More than enough storage both in the bathroom and main cabin area. The balcony is tight. It fits 2 straight back chairs and a tiny table to hod a couple of drinks. There is no way you could put a lounge chair. Read entire member review >>
Lovely stateroom, smaller balcony than on previous cruises, bathroom beautiful, wardrobe too close to one side of bed making access awkward. No public areas nearby so very quiet. Read entire member review >>
We had a mid ship starboard balcony. Shipped docked (it's random) port side so we had a terrific panoramic view of Bermuda. The room is nicely appointed. Plenty of room for 2. Balcony is small but manageable for 2 people. Plenty of storage. Bathroom is a nice size for a cruise ship. Bed was SUPER comfortable. Couch was okay for a child/teen for 3 in a room if needed. Our cabin steward was great. Jose gave us towel animals (my wife loved them) every evening and kept our cabin immaculate. They did a nice job decorating for our anniversary and my wife's birthday. Very satisfied. Read entire member review >>
We had Balcony Cabin on Deck 13. Mid-ship balcony stateroom number 13162. Love the location! Very near the Splash Academy, Spa and Gym. We can use the stairs most of the time. The room was small, but clean, new, and totally adequate. Bathroom was great! We spent lots of time on the balcony and even though it was small. One of the biggest hits was coffee in the room. My cabin(BA 11812) beautiful decor and lighting features. Closet was average, we asked for more hangers and received them. Plenty of storage throughout the room. Small balcony, but serves its purpose to enjoy a cup of tea/coffe, a glass of wine and just to sit out and relax. Read entire member review >>
Beautiful room - We had a Spa Balcony and it was perfect! Decor was gorgeous and tons of space. The balcony was a little smaller than usual, but just fine. There was TONS of space for storage. We didn't even use all of it and we overpacked! Read entire member review >>
Our cabin and deck were very unsuitable for handicapped people. We were on deck 13 and the corridors were too narrow for two people to pass except at certain areas where the hallway widened. My mother with her walker could not get by the laundry carts which became increasingly tiresome. Guest services said the corridors got narrower as you went higher, but we are accustomed to having a balcony and uninterested in being on deck five. We did check the hallway out there and it was much wider.
The cabins have no drawers whatsoever. We were in 13808 which was one of the cabins where the hallway widened so that was okay for entering and exiting, but the doorway was too small for the walker and there was no real hall space to store it.
Also, we got smoke from the deck 8 bars which I hated. Read entire member review >>
NCL Breakaway - Cabin 13144
Bedding and pillows were wonderful.
Storage was ample.
Bathroom was a great size. Basin was a good size. Counter was ample. Shower was hot and powerful.
Cabin 13144 had a balcony (port side). I found the room better then Epic as the room had 90-degree angles (no curves). Storage was ample and the bathroom was a good size. In the shower hot water came up fast. Pressure was nice. Toilet flushed when needed.
I appreciated that the inside cabins were not across the hall, but rather in corridors between Port and Starboard. Cabin staff was wonderful. My cabin was spotless at all times. "Robert" addressed me whenever he saw me. He was great. Read entire member review >>
