NCL Inspires Fabian Fundraiser in Bermuda

October 14, 2003
A couple of entertainers from two Norwegian Cruise Lines teamed up with authorities in Bermuda to host a fund raiser for those impacted by Hurricane Fabian, which struck the island this summer. The event was inspired by Chad Brennan, an art director and singer on Norwegian Majesty, and Marcus Dagan, a singer and pianist on Norwegian Sea as a way, they said, to give something back. The event – held last week in St. George – featured dancing, comedy and music by NCL entertainers (both ships were in port in Bermuda) and by locals, including students from St. George's Preparatory School, who sang a rendition of "We Are The World." Admission was free of charge but there were numerous opportunities for locals to make donations.
All totaled, 4,000 people attended the four hour event – and $12,000 was raised.
