Tropical Storm Claudette Causes Itinerary Shifts
Tropical Storm Claudette - which as of 8 a.m. this morning has lost some momentum (wind speeds have dropped from yesterday's high of 70 to 60 m.p.h.) - is, nevertheless, still a force in the western Caribbean. The storm has now passed Jamaica and the Cayman Islands and is heading toward Cozumel. The Mexican government has issued a hurricane watch for the eastern Yucatan peninsula from Chetumal to Cabo Catoche and landfall could occur there as early as Thursday evening.

In the meantime, Royal Caribbean and Carnival have made some itinerary adjustments for cruises currently sailing. Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas, in Ocho Rios today, will spend two days at Nassau. Rhapsody of the Seas will also visit Nassau and Enchantment of the Seas, which is in Cozumel today, will detour later this week to CocoCay. Passengers on Carnival Conquest this week will miss the ship's regular calls at Cozumel and Grand Cayman and will spend a day apiece in Jamaica's Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
