Sixth Norway Crew Member Dies
Norwegian Cruise Line reports that a sixth crew member has died as a result of Sunday's boiler explosion on Norway. Thirteen injured members of the Norway crew are still in the hospital.

One lawsuit has been filed in U.S. Circuit Court against Norwegian Cruise Line. A 44-year old cook from the Philippines is suing NCL for $1 billion in punitive damages – according to news reports he says the boiler equipment was antiquated and dangerous – and $1 million in compensatory damages for pain and suffering.

In the meantime, the National Transportation Safety Board, which sent a 10-member team to Miami Sunday to investigate the accident, has no word yet on a cause and, indeed, it could be months if not a year before one is determined.

There has been no word from NCL regarding cancellation of any cruises beyond Norway's June 1 and June 8 sailings. We'll keep you posted.
