| Caronia Passengers Busted for Drugs |
| Three passengers who'd sailed a 60-day South America-Caribbean voyage on Cunard's venerable Caronia were found in possession of some 20 kilos of cocaine when the ship disembarked in Southampton. The cocaine was found in
the luggage of the three men, reportedly from Liverpool, when customs officials were doing the usual suitcase checks. Their stash is said to be worth $1.6 million. Cunard has confirmed the drug bust and in a statement
commented, vaguely, that it "actively cooperates with customs services from around the world." | |
