| RCI's Monarch Cancels Cruises for Major Re-Do |
Royal Caribbean is canceling voyages on Monarch of the Seas from May 6 -
June 2 in order to complete what it’s calling a “major refurbishment” of the
ship before it heads to Los Angeles. Sources there are mum on details -- but
look for some fun, unusual additions and changes to features on the ship --
that will add some extra umph to its new assignment.
Passengers booked on any of these four- or five-night Western Caribbean or
Bahamas itineraries are being offered similar trips on other ships and a
varying scale of onboard credit amounts. Probably the most significant
passenger impact is on the ship’s transitional voyage through the Panama
Canal; that 14-night Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles trip, originally slated
to depart May 17, was among those canceled.
Stay tuned and we’ll provide more detail on the Monarch’s “sexy” changes as
they're unveiled. | |
