Princess Cruises today announced that the launch of Island Princess, slated to debut in May, has been rescheduled for July. The ship, an 88,000-ton, 1,970-passenger sister to the also-delayed Coral Princess, will make its new inaugural with a July 12 Vancouver to Seward seven day trip. Canceled, then, is its May 13 Panama Canal transit from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles, a three day coastal repositioning from Los Angeles to Vancouver and six seven day Gulf of Alaska voyages.
Passengers on the canceled cruises are being offered full refunds and a "credit." Princess did not elaborate on the exact nature of the credit. |
